Miami offers 2018 WR Elijah Moore from STA

What's the teams sentiments if you can say Macho?

Most expected it, so it's not really a shock. I think the coaches are a bit shocked with the way he left though. Said nothing to anybody, just disappeared and enrolled at STA. The coaches actually didn't even know he left. They thought he was still on campus. I believe it's when they tried to pull him out of class to see a college coach that they discovered that he was no longer enrolled at WHS.

I don't know about you, but if I had just caught 88 balls for 1200 yards in my Sophomore season I'd at least show some gratitude towards my OC before I left. lol smh

This is all a product of the leaching adults who surround these kids. They lie to the kids. Lie to parents. And it's all for THEIR personal gain. They'll lie and say that they're "all about the kids" but if you're all about the kids then why don't you help any non-D1 level athletes?

Guys around this county have been lying on us for years. They call our kids and tell them (and their parents) lies like "he'll never get an offer playing at Western" blah blah blah. Meanwhile we have one kid starting in the NFL and another kid who was slated to be a 1st/3rd round draft pick this year. (as well as several kids currently playing D-1 football)

It's come to the point where we have to recruit our own kids back into our program. In order to counteract the negative recruiting we're getting from guys at other programs we have to debunk their theories with these kids. We have to now defend our program. So basically I'm supposed to convince some 15-17 year old kid that he can play at Western and still get a plethora of offers. I have to show them pics of Jon Feliciano and Fabian Moreau. LOL (nonsense) We don't have the energy for that ****. We're too busy trying to actually coach! (which is supposed to be our main job)

Gotta love South FLA football.

Probably didnt want the pressure. Can you imagine a 16 year old kid drumming up the guts to basically tell the people who got him to where he is today that he is "Taking my talents to St Thomas"? And that "Im bigger then Western right now. You guys have taken me as far as you can"..thats a slap in the face to that coaching staff to even have this convo...

BUT whomever his parent/guardian is should have made this phone call or had this meeting for him. Least they could do.

No doubt. Personally, my parents wouldn't let me handle it in that fashion. I'd have to confront the coach. Matter of fact, we've had many transfers over the years and to my knowledge he's the only one that left in that manner.

What are you gonna do? *shrug*
