Beck does look good in those highlights however I like 2014 ILB Troy Reeder from Wilmington, Delaware just as much if not better and he is faster at 6'3" 232lbs with a 4.5 40yd (laser timed). Now his competition level maybe suspect but he will be down at UM this summer for a Camp, to test how he compares to S. FLA talent.

Plant's Andrew Beck gets offer from Miami Hurricanes

Wed. February 13, 2013 | Joel Anderson
Plant linebacker Andrew Beck, who led the Panthers in tackles as a junior, has received a scholarship offer from the University of Miami, according to coach Robert Weiner.
This is the first offer for the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Beck. (USF had offered him when Skip Holtz was still the coach.)
Beck, who has also played at tight end, had 126 tackles, 32 for a loss, six sacks and eight passes defended for the Panthers, who had six players from last year’s defense sign with colleges on national signing day last week.
In fact, two other Panthers linebackers signed with colleges last week: Mitchell Wright (USF) and T.J. Jenkins (Tennessee-Chattanooga).
Weiner said Beck ran a 4.56 in the 40-yard dash at the Big County Preps Ignite Showcase a couple weeks ago.
Impressive if true...

Beck looks good in coverage drills also in this camp setting.

A redshirt year in a S&C program an this kid could 250lbs easily, lets see how things play out with him an UM.

Done with your DT evals?

What is his interest in UM?
I´m still waiting for a caneinsight interview with this kid.... staff?

But I found this interview:

BCP: Who is the first person you expressed your excitement to after receiving the Miami offer?

Beck: After I received my offer, the first person I went to is my dad, and it was that way with my Kentucky offer too. He is a role model for me and too see the excitement for me on his face is a very good feeling for me.

BCP: What college staff has been the most aggressive so far with recruiting?

Beck: The most aggressive staff towards me has been Miami. I’ve been contacted by several of their coaches and they all seem very excited for me and they all constantly tell me about all the great things Miami is doing and has to offer me as a student athlete.

BCP: What’s you childhood favorite college team?

Beck: My favorite college team growing up was the University of Texas Longhorns.

BCP: If you get an offer from Texas, would they become #1 on your list?

Beck: I don’t know if Texas would automatically become number one. Coach Weiner is very good about reminding us to keep an open mind and weigh all of the pros and cons of each school. It has been a while since I have been in Austin and would definitely want to check it out again and compare it to other schools I have seen before I start ranking them.

Well Beck has completed his Texas tour including a trip to SMU because quote " SMU was one of the first schools to offer him, so he felt they deserved a visit". He next set of scheduled visits are to Florida State and Stanford next weekend, then to Georgia and Georgia Tech the weekend after. All of those schools except Georgia have offered. Which sounds to me like he has no interest in seeing Miami's spring practice or scrimmage, which says a lot considering UM was the first school to Offer him. Even back in Feb he seem to shy away from discussing Miami when asked about how he felt when his first offer came.

I am thinking the writing is on the wall with this one, because clearly the staff went balls to wall for this kid and yet nothing back interms of interest other then to use the Miami name when discussing who has offered him. I find it funny that he is going to Georgia even though they have not offered him yet, that in itself stinks of Weinergate hating on Miami still.

Go Canes.

Wow now Beck is getting personal tours by mack brown and manny diaz at Texas, yet UM just offers him then no contact?

Who is covering the Tampa Area losing this kid would be unreal after being one of the first to offer him. He is even taking a tour of Baylor, now UM is competing with Baylor for recruits from Florida. Even if this kid spent sometime in Texas as an military child, he has been in florida for a while. This should be a UM slam dunk, why not have scott recruit this kid since he has the Tampa area ties.

You're all over the place
