Miami-Notre Dame game time announced

My only canes experience at OB was Thanksgiving weekend when Canes took apart Washington 65-7
InnWEZ ….the freaks were out for
Blood and we got it
One of my favorite OB memories. Some forget that game was moved because of 9/11. Worst possible outcome for UW because they caught us late season and we were rolling. Everyone in the stadium knew UW was about to get taken behind the shed as payback for the 2000 game.

Lots of unknowns on both sides. People **** on the atmosphere at the Rock… but night games get loud, especially playing someone we hate like ND. This game gonna be electric. First we winning the tailgate, then the game.
I hope they open the lots up early

This game and ‘85 Bears vs Fins Monday Night are my all time game experiences ever at the old girl. I have never felt the place be so insane and electric as those two. And yes we have had plenty of electric insane games. But those two games felt like a whole other level.

Still remember fondly my stoic dad and godfather screaming and jumping like little girls and the OB erupting when the ‘72 team showed up and standing there as to let the team know no way in **** you lose this game.

I have never seen a stadium so rabid foaming at the mouth for that game, we wanted our pound of flesh. As Lou “Sylvester the Cat” Holtz answered as to why he had his team run into the locker room “he was more scared of the fans than he was of the team” that night LOL

GLORIOUS!!

This is the one I was going to mention. That place was like a bunch of rabid, wild dogs that night. It really was like we were a bunch of vampires thirsty for blood. I was legit scared for any Washington fans in the WEZ that night. 🤣

And it was the week after beating Cuse 59-0.

I was at both. Two of the loudest games ever at that place.

One thing I will give the Rock Credit. That 2017 Notre Dame game was closest thing to recreating the deafening sound that I heard as a young kid during those games in the OB. That night was pretty special.

Thanks for posting! That brought back some fond memories. Looking at that game, there were a few things that stood out.
1. That was a very physical game by both squads. UM's D-line was fairly dominant.
2. I forgot how good Stephen McGuire was!
3. Tony Rice couldn't pass to save his life!

Nothing to worry about, stadium is state of the art.

2004 game vs FSU on Labor Day I was in upper deck at the OB, and THAT had me worried. Stadium was legit swaying. I thought I was collapsing right into a urinal troth.
That would be one **** of a way to go, the stuff of legends!

I was there as well! My sister scheduled her wedding for this day so I woulnd't miss a Canes game. 911 happened and the game got rescheduled. I attended the wedding, then drove 3 hours with one of her groomsmen I'd just met to watch the game.

Year 4 opening game for Mario & Co. This will be the biggest home game of his tenure so far to re-establish Miami as a national power. Then two weeks later the UF game will be the biggest home game of his tenure so far.

We need to be there and make Hard Rock as loud and as uncomfortable for both of these teams as possible.
