Miami Jackson Hires Bernice the Tow Truck Lady as the new HC

When I heard it on the radio they were saying she has been a D coordinator at a few schools. Anyone can confirm that?

No, Luke was a DC at other area schools. She has never coached High School football. She coached flag football before though!!!
Oh thanks I must have heard it wrong on the radio or something then. So Luke is at least qualified then I guess.

This is totally disrespectful to the coaches that applied for the position. She'll just be there while Luke and staff actually runs the team since Luke didn't have the credentials to be a Head Coach. Kids will not leave because of their loyalty to Liberty City and Luke.
Serious though, I say give her a fair shot at the job and see what she can do. You're assuming there may have been other applicants. I kinda doubt it although I don't have insight into the hiring process to back that up. Those kids really need all the help they can get, regardless of who ends up coaching. It's my understanding that the team has sucked for a long time against the other local competition.

I actually have the insight and know of the coaches who've actually gone on social media and said she'll be their just for show and they'll run the team. The team hasn't actually sucked but they just have yet to live up to the expectations.

3 wins last season doesnt suck?

She'll be a dramatic improvement over the last staff.

The last staff was lead by UM's own Earl Little. His staff including some college players who had years of experience in the High School circuit. They just bit off more than they could chew last season with their selection of the schedule but that was their belief in their kids. They were successful their first season by making it to the first round of the playoffs and beating Cardinal Gibbons to get there. Last season they had a bunch of injuries and some friction with the AD which led to Coach Little's resignation.

LOL @ "give her a chance".

If anybody else with her "qualifications" was hired for that job you cats wouldn't be saying the same thing.

If Jackson hired John Doe, who's only former coaching experience is girl's flag football, your tune would be completely different. I've seen people on here clown on dude's with more qualifications than her but you're sitting here and giving her a chance just cause she's a female.

It's a bad hire regardless of gender. Ideally you wanna hire a coach that has HC experience, and if they don't have that experience then you at least wanna hire a person that comes from a good coaching tree. (I.E. a former coordinator that worked under a good HC)

Wow, shocking that a Dade County school would make such a ridiculous hire:baby_face:

Sometimes you have let things fail in the short-term in order for them to succeed in the long-term. She is hired and there is nothing we can do about it. If she is not qualified it will quickly be evident and she will be let go. Then hopefully for the long-term the admin will go through a better selection process.

Give her a chance. If she is going to fail, let her fail fast. Then the quicker they get the right coach(es) in there.

You need think more strategically and long-term. This **** happens all the time in Corporate America. If she can't deliver, she'll be gone fast.
