Yes, let me divulge it to everybody and then I lose a source who doesn't want the name out yet.

no, its the opposite. announce the existence of the power move when you are ready to divulge the name (while protecting your source), otherwise why let everyone know you have information that you cannot at this moment share?

There is a current example of it working at Miami. It was already pointed out in this thread. Pete told you if Baez wasn't hired the four Gulliver guys(including Burns) probably aren't at Miami. Baez was hired 2 years before Mullins, Jackson and Wright ever played a down. When Burns puts a uniform on it will be about 3+ years after Baez's hiring. Thats how crazy south Florida recruiting is.

Thanks, Pete. I appreciate all of your insight and recruiting information that you provide us. Those who were critical of Peter in this thread can never be satisfied smh. The man continuously updates us with premium content on a free board.
 
Seems like it has to be Cooney. Honestly don't know much about the high school football landscape, but I'm all for these types of hires on the support staff. Ideally we should make a hire like this every 2-3 years, cycle the last one out (unless he's proven his worth) and continue on like that.

Also, I very much enjoyed this thread and I very much enjoy Pete's work.

All of you criticizing him need to take a step back and understand that we are getting this for free. As well as understand the very real possibility that Pete will not be around forever, he's eventually going to get snapped up by a big time sports network and have less/no time to post here. So I would enjoy it while it lasts instead of byching about it now and then - most assuredly - byching about it when he's gone.

Pete is putting this sissy boy "I know something I can't tell you" nonsense out there in case some dude named...hmmm.... let's use the example Plaid swoops in and tells the world we're gonna hire Cooney.

Now at least Pete can retain his juice with his fans by saying "we can't have nice things" and later tell us "that's the guy I was talking about."
 
I heard a rumor about this last week. I'm not sure it's true but if it is, Preacher stepping his game up fo shoo.

Like many have said, this ****'s chess not checkers. Whatever it takes to give us an advantage over the endless competition for S FL talent I'm all for it.
