I don't make the calls. based on formation and everything else on the play, it looks like he passed him off and played underneath on the outside. his zone wouldn't be all the way across the field to the other hash. with the 2-deep look i expected and him following but something was messed up and NOBODY was on that side of the field and patterson reacted so late, he was in another zip code. i would say there's a higher probability Patterson blew the coverage vs the upper classman who plays a lot bc it's not the first time today Patterson was in that situation.....but i could be wrong.
He had OJ and Harris covering that receiver. Even if he played it to his responsibilities he has to know what's going on behind him based on their alignment he needed to follow that receiver atleast more than he did before attempting to pass him off
