I said it when this hire was made and I’ll keep saying it. Pitching has been the Achilles’ heel of this team for over 10 years. So why on earth would you make the coach of that unit which has been our weakness, the manager of the whole freaking team?! Makes no sense at all! And F off to the former players who supposedly forced JD on us! The next hire better be a real search and a real higher for a real coach that has done this before and been successful or I will never watch baseball again.

I think the general point is that ARod and Cora are not the AD and should not be able to force jack ****.

It’s one thing to entertain their strong campaign for this continual flop, it’s another to do his Fackin job and hire a proven skip.

I agree... but we don't know the context of their "support".

In principle 100% agree.

I never liked this hire. JDs pitching unit has been dog**** for a decade plus

After the trust fund experiment in house, there was zero basis in reality for the pathetic decision. There was nothing in my mind, save longevity and being near Jim Morris, that qualified JD for this gig after we rolled the dice on Gino.

Post Gino required serious change and if Rad did his due diligence as we had been led to believe, this move was flat out criminal.

This is not a serious university. I went to law school at UM but undergrad at a small D3. I am now donating to my undergrad. I’m done with donations to UM until we get a better school president and AD.

He was hired after Mario got here.

Football has won 6, 7 and now 10 games. I'm assuming you're so heel dug on football losing you need your opinion to be validated more than the teams actual on the field progress?

I won't tell anyone how to fan, do you, but that's definitely a weird use of time and energy.

Year 4 Mario needs to get us to the ACCCG or playoffs. Period end of story. Ideally both and a first round bye. Remains to be seen but calling football a failure is absurd and should not be listened to based on objective evidence at this time.

At no point in time did I say this basketball hire isn't his responsibility. He made it. It's entirely possible this guy succeeds. It's entirely possible he fails. Perhaps we can let him coach one game first?

Baseball I've already stated my position. Never liked the hire. It was lazy and dumb and here we are utilizing the remaining pallets of Diddy lube for our arch rival to sodomize us while we celebrate single home runs in the dugout.

Baseball is an abortion.

1. Rad needs to be fired.
2. It’s the same bad process - friends and family vs a thorough search and providing the resources needed for the best candidate to win.

And yes, football, he was so unimportant in the decision that he didn’t need to be employed for the decision to be made

We closed the football season losing to 3 teams we had more talent than, and choked away a playoff berth… ACC title or bust. No more excuses for Mario.
