Miami-Duke confirmed visitors

I would think the chance to see Bagley and Duke is too great to pass up. Not too mention UM has some talent too.

Who cares? This is extra time on campus, with his brothers, players, etc. Not saying he is coming but nobody else in the nation can say PS2 was at their campus today.

Campbell not being there is very telling. So disappointing.

Maybe, maybe not. Lots of possible reasons he isn't there. Do you know for sure he didn't have homework, or his mom made him clean his room or something?

Fair enough but lots of smoke with Campbell. I believed he was ours to lose. Still do to a degree. But I always follow the visits and this is no bueno for us.

Things don't look great, but he hasn't shut it down yet. Tonight wasn't a visit so much, I think it depends on if he takes an official or not. Maybe it doesn't depend on that so much as that will tell us if we're still in the game.

Other ppl are saying we are still in a great position to get all of them.

For someone with “photos” in their screen name you sure do suck at taking photos.

Yeah next time when you stalk a bunch of kids at the basketball game do us a favor and use a Canon. Thanks.

Surtain sure does pop up a lot. Only Miami can get these 5* kids around campus and cool events only to go play in big games elsewhere. Doesn't happen anywhere else. Gotta change that South Florida culture and make The U the cool squad again.

If the atmosphere at HRS for VT and ND can't bring back the excitement that translates into recruiting "gets," hard to know what will.

Need that consistently. Can't just mix in 1 or 2 special nights with flying banners trying to fire our Deadbeat Corch every other night.

But that's never going to happen here in South Fla. Even during the run from 2000 - 2002, the OB wasn't rocking for every game. If that's what some kids need to commit to a school, they'll just have to leave town as it won't happen for them here. This is a big game/front runner town and has been since I arrived here in 1993 and I'm sure much longer than that.

Miami fans have to understand and I'm sorry BUT IF they don't understand this NOW they never will, every year around this time we have this same conversation "Miami won't get all the studs from SoFla" for some strangle reason these kid's come to Miami to visit, they come to Miami to attend games and etc BUT some of these SoFla studs refuse to stay home and play for the home team.. THIS is something that has went on in Miami for decades and it won't change, over the years so many SoFla kid's have left Miami to play at other schools helping start a pipeline and relationships for the younger brothers, cousins, nephews and close friends kid's!! AND WE HAVE TO REALIZE, some of these schools are coming thru SoFla and dropping gifts off that these kid's aren't going to refuse unfortunate OUR CANES have eyes on them 24 hrs..

And the other way we must look at it and must be real about this, SOME SOFLA kid's AREN'T MIAMI FANS!! And some ppl have to stop acting like that's a big crime because a kid from SoFla not a big Hurricane's fan, IT HAPPENS THAT WAY!! I live 32 years in Louisiana, watched some of the best football player's come from the home town LSU TIGERS and IF I would've had the opportunity to play D1 football, LSU wasn't even on my mind and still til this day I'm not a LSU fan.. This is what Miami is going thru with recruits like (Campbell and others), the kid might have ties to Miami BUT he likes another school more than Miami and he just probably grow up liking that school and still does TODAY!! SO ALL I'M SAYING IS, as fans we have to look at this from different angles for these recruits!! Every year there are hundreds of coaches that visit these high schools (in SoFla) and hundreds of coaches that go in the homes of these kid's, we have to understand that some of these recruit's are being recruited at a very young age by some of these coaches, there are a lot of things that goes down behind the scenes that the fans never hear about, TOO MANY RECRUITS TO FOLLOW!! I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT THIS, HONESTLY.. But the fact of the matter is THIS PROBLEM WE HAVING AT MIAMI, will always be a problem here at Miami!! It's been like this for decades, BUT we have to realize the strides Miami has been making over the last 2 years with the top local recruit's, BIG DIFFERENCE..

**But every year it looks like Miami will miss out on a few local studs that everybody expect to sign with the home team, IT HAPPENS AND IT WILL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN IN SOFLA, MIAMI**

Make the U cool again by beating Pitt to end the regular season undefeated, making the acccg competitive, beating Wisconsin and winning the orange bowl when you up 14-3....most big name kids go to programs that’s in position to be in the playoff. I feel like we’re on the cusp but a lot of these higher rated kids don’t want to be apart of getting a team over the hump they want something already established imo

Rome wasnt built in a day. Give it time. We will start to win games like that but what we have to tell kids is that we need your help to get over the hump.

**** there is only one team at the end of each season that they say, "We just won the national title. We dont really need your help but if you want to get onboard with us and win a ring then we will gladly have you."...Everyone else is spilling the same speech we are to recruits.

As the poster said, Welcome to South Florida. Its an event town. We will never be Tuscaloosa, Athens, Knoxville, Ann Arbor, Gainesville, etc. Either recruits can understand that or this aint the place for them. But when HR stadium is rocking there isnt a better atmosphere in the country as the ND game showed the nation.

Yea I get that but most of the other teams we losing kids to have won something of significance recently and we havent is my point. Those teams sales pitch have recent evidence that these kids have seen for themselves and hardware to back it up. Our sales pitch has ancient history to these kids some respect it and some don’t and it seems that most higher rated kids don’t

Some ppl don't understand the city of Miami, it's not like other major cities around the world!! And when it comes to football recruiting around here it's more like a gamble and a lot of ppl here are trying to cash out.. This is why SoFla is the biggest area for CFB recruiting, because anything can happen!! So many ppl in SoFla are looking for a way out and football is that way out for most, college coaches drop off gifts that kid's and their families can't refuse and this is why Miami have such a hard time keeping recruit's home.. Some ppl here want to blame it on this coach and that coach, BUT that's ppl that don't understand the way of life in Miami FL..

Some of these kid's are being recruited at toddlers, we have to understand college coaches go into these recruit's house, these same recruit's have brother's, cousin's, nephew's and etc staying with them and when these college coaches go in these homes they meet these kid's and start recruiting them right away and for those that don't understand, that right there makes these young kid's think about other school's other then just the home town Canes!! NOT SAYING a lot of these kid's don't grow up loving our Canes, BUT it's all about the way of life in the city of Miami that most ppl don't get, majority of these kid's and there families are looking for a way out and football provides that way out.. AND WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND, some of these young studs have been getting the treatment since peewee leagues, SO IF Miami can't make that happen for them, they will bounce.. Just imagine how many mommas, daddy's, uncles, aunts, grandma's, grandpa's have been getting the treatment for years for the talent of their offspring, IF Miami can't **** it out then our Canes have to get off the pot!!

Every year we hear about a recruit that left Miami to go elsewhere talk about how he was a Cane fan growing up as a youngster BUT he still decided to leave the home team and go somewhere else!! IT DOESN'T TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO UNDERSTAND THIS ****, it just takes REAL football fans to understand this ****.. YES it happens everywhere the same way, BUT IN SoFla it's at another level!!

FOR EVERY RECRUIT IT'S NOT ABOUT PUTTING ON FOR THEIR CITY, IT'S ABOUT OTHER THINGS.. AND THE SOONER CANE FANS REALIZE THAT, THE BETTER OFF MOST WILL BE.. Because some of these fans think, Oh this coach coached this kid here and there, they should beable to get him here at Miami because it's the home team and he been coaching him.. IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT TODAY!! SOME OF THESE RECRUIT'S HAVE BIGGER EAGLES THEN SOME MIGHT THINK AND A OLD COACH ISN'T GOING TO CHANGE THAT...

Yeah, it's weird that he doesn't just pop up to LSU for a random basketball game or shoot over to bama just to say hello.

Some fans just think it's all about recruiting and that's how it's going to get done!! And for some of these recruit's it's not, because most of these recruit's already have their minds made up where they will attend school BUT they just go along with the process because they are told to, just to make it look like more schools were in it BUT really and truly this kid only loved one school and IT WASN'T THE HOME TOWN TEAM!! Miami Hurricanes are the beloved team by most of this website BUT THE FACT OF THE MATTER IT NOT LIKE THIS FOR EVERY KID THAT GROW UP IN SoFla.. What about the kid that grow up in SoFla that had a brother or cousin that went to Bama or LSu or FSu or Uf or Clemson and etc, DO YOU THINK THAT KID GROW UP WITH MIAMI as his #1 school?? **** noooo, NOW understand the kid probably still liked Miami because it's the home town team, BUT he not ALL CANE!! I likes other schools as well and as this kid grows up that plays a factor because his ppl goes to this school and it's NOT NAMED MIAMI HURRICANES, SO of course that other school is starting to grow on the kid because of the very reason and not to mention that school behind the scenes recruiting lil man to come to their school when it's his time to make a decision.. And all along ppl watch this kid grow up and say he's from Miami, there's no way he doesn't become a Cane BUT throughout the years all this happens BUT ppl think he's a home town kid, Miami is his school BUT all along this kid is deeply loving a whole different school, and throughout his recruitment he's playing the game of giving other schools looks BUT along this kid knows he's going to one school and it's not the home town Canes!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT HAPPENS LIKE THAT.. JUST BECAUSE A KID IS BORN AND RAISED IN A CITY DOESN'T MEAN HE WILL BE TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THAT CITY, JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE COACHES A KID DOESN'T MEAN THAT KID WILL FOLLOW THEM ANYWHERE.. YES A LOT OF THESE RECRUITS ATTEND MIAMI GAMES, BUT FOR SOME THAT'S THE ONLY GAMES THEY CAN AFFORD TO GO TO ON A REGULAR, IT'S 10-15 MINUTES AWAY... There is a lot of factors to recruiting that regular fans overlook because a kid is a home town stud.. ALL MIAMI RECRUITS AREN'T IN LOVE WITH THE MIAMI HURRICANES, some of them love and want to attend other colleges, so as fans we have to get over it...
