Not a good half, AT ALL, but this team is still in the fight. Defensively, need more intensity, also shot selection has to get better on the offensive end. If you are struggling, know when to shoot, and from where. Cleveland and Pack came to play. I think Omier and Wooga are pressing WAY TOO MUCH. Let the game come to you, do the small things until you get opportunities. This is where this program misses Jordan Miller, he was the master of finding his hot spots and hitting shots, even when the rest of his game was a bit off. Wong was the same way, and that's something you just can't easily replicate. Wong could be struggling mightily, and he would find a way to get into the lane, get fouled and get some FTs. I will say this, Omier needs to use the backboard on some of these layups. If you know you are struggling, use those fundamentals. Bank it in if need be.

Wooga is starting to understand that VT doesn't have anyone that can stay in front of him. Get to the rack and keep going to the rack.

Its a no-brainer to have George smother any sharpshooter shooting lights out. His height, reach and ability to fight off screens is perfect for that role..
The issue right now is consistency. George has the measurables to be a legit lock down defender, the question is whether he has the will. A classic example of a guy with good measureables that imposed his will on the defensive end is Davon Reed. Reed had that mindset from day one, he saw his role as defensive stopper first and as his offensive game came along, he added it alongside.

George got screwed twice on two consecutive possessions. If that's a charge, then there's no point in driving to the hole, because all you have to do is figure out how to get somewhat in the way, defensive positioning doesn't matter....
