Totally get it. I grew up near and there and went to Penn St for a while (don’t hate me I was an adult student working full time had to stay local) and seeing that place up close…they really are evil on every level

We got a glimpse of it up close
As long as you stood away from the showers at PSU you still good with me Jhall

Because it's (temporarily) easier. Think about it..... apply it to every situation you've encountered with folks living in denial. It's true. People would rather bend the truth into a pretzel than look in the mirror, admit they are fat, then go to the gym 5-7x per week while simultaneously adjusting their diet. People would rather blame their 4 ex-wives than admit they're a philandering egomaniac. People would rather blame the 1% than admit that they are lazy or live beyond their means. The list is endless.
Holy **** this went astray from the original topic

Some day the board will believe me about Ohio St

Not surprised with Ohio State.
Look at the fan support at home and away games.
I've seen it first hand everywhere.
When I worked at NASA we had alot of engineers, astrophysicists, astronomers, etc
from the school.
Later when I worked at another agency totally unrelated to NASA, we had a bunch of
CPAs, PMs, etc who were Buckeyes.
They have a sizable presence in the DMV area.
They are everywhere.
Similar with StatePenn too.

Proportionally for the school size and the amount of teams we actually have we *******. And that’s with ****** ACC revenue
I strongly concur. Miami is much smaller than those close in the standings. There are considerably fewer teams. Total Revene may be skewed by the health system but is impossible to tell,

Ohio State is literally like the 3rd or 4th largest employer in the state of Ohio. The school is embedded into the state's economy.

I think our numbers are pretty good all thing considered and the discrepancy between teams isn't as large as I would have estimated.
I agree with you here. I’ll be curious to see if we experience the upward trajectory we hear about. There’s a layer to the whole thing about wins and losses for the football team but there’s also a macro conversation to be had

I mean they've had Top 5 recruiting classes committing to a frozen wasteland for decades.

Of course they're loaded.

I just dislike the fact that their entire fanbase acts like they don’t cheat. Like cmon they been cheating since 2000. **** we have and cheat as well. Like everyone does it. And the ones who stay up top do it the best pause

well anyone can find their revenue because theyre required to file tax documentation as a nonprofit. its all public info.

idk how they got the msot recent one bc it isnt online yet
I'm not a lawyer, but I thought that as a public university, you're required to disclose your tax documentation. With Miami being private, they weren't required to do so. This is not me attacking your post, just a general inquiry.

A couple of things. One, our 990 is not going to break out athletics revenue, gross and certainly not net. Maybe our AFS footnotes do, but I’d be surprised, especially since our returns include the health system. Two, most every state school does not file a 990 as a state entity.

It’s actually the other way around, ironically. Miami is a 501c3 and needs to file a 990. State entities are exempt from this requirement.
