So, three years ago we win 6 games, last year we win 7 games, and this year 9 games. Fire the coach he sucks, mental midget U.

A. Three years ago we open season at Maryland half the team on suspension from 2 to 5 games we win 6 games.

B. Last year we play 19 freshmen we win 7 games, without a defense.

C. This year we win 9 games, defense improves by 25%

Oh I forgot, we were in self impose probation for 3 years. Do the mental midgets here know how many scholie players we had on the team 74,74,74. We were 11 short because we self imposed. Do any of you brilliant light bulbs consider what it is to play with minus 11 players. This is the first year we are getting a true defensive line in recruiting along with linebackers worth a ****!!!!!. Fire the coach. Next year if we win 8-9 games it will be a great year. I will give Golden 2 more years to win 10-11 games.

So if we had beaten Louisville nothing would have change next year nothing. Mental Midget U.

you arent dealing with the brightest fans. they are the same ones who spewed racial comments at teddy when he was a recruit.
 
I saw no improvement from last year to this year. Easier schedule. Defense was as bad as it was against Louisville the other night as it was against Duke to end the season last year. That is zero improvement. If we didn't play FAU, SSU, and USF to start this season the stats would be even worse.
 
no improvement? really, denzel and tracy didnt play at an all conference level? mccord wasnt a playmaker? duke didnt become an all around back? flowers didnt improve? jenkins wasnt better? crawford and gunter didnt get better? hurns wasnt much better? u have no idea what you are talking about.
 
Maybe next year we can be the first team to replace half our ACC schedule with SWAC teams. That way we can "improve" to 10 wins. ******' idiots.

I think that most of the biggest critics have no actual affiliation with UM.

you realize how bad our talent is? shannon didnt like to recruit so he offered kids he knew would accept. aj, gaines, rodgers, and many others would never get an offer from jimbo, saban, etc. i remember last year we blitzed with ej. they can coach talent but this senior class is horrific. only thing is i blame ag for showing them blind loyalty.
 
Our defense improved by 25%? Stop trying to polish a ****. We were 90 in total defense and over 100 our last 5-6 games

All valid points. But they still don't explain some of the mind- numbing decisions of the coaching staff; like attempting to turn Duke Johnson into the second coming of Mike Guman, or having DB's ten yards off the line of scrimmage and bailing on a third and five, or not yanking a QB who struggled to convert on third down all year....

The problem with the OP's "look at the big picture, the team is improving" argument is that the team regressed substantially in the second half of the season (compared to the first half). Sure, there were injuries, but the extent of the regression is hard to explain. The team that came out fired up and punched the gaytors in the jaw in week 2 would have demolished the team that lost 4 of the last 6 games of the season.
 
This year is an utter failure. The goal was to win the Coastal that wasn't met. There is NEVER any excuse to lose to Duke in Football EVER!!! CANES had the division gifted to them and all they had to do was win, didn't happen. The Defense consistently allowing horrible QB's like Logan Thomas look like NFL All Pro's is nauseating. I still think that Golden is the right cat for the job, but Have ZERO faith in Onofrio's ability to adjust and taylor to personnel that he has. It was Coley's first season as OC, so he has a little leway right now.
