Safety’s looked good. And most, including me thought the was the weakest position
This is a genuine question so please don’t hate me for asking. I’ve been seeing a lot of hype for Jaden Harris and I agree that he played well, but was that 71 yard td not a missed assignment by him? Was he playing the correct gap and we just got unlucky or was he supposed to be outside contain and got pulled into a bad gap allowing the rb to get outside? Sorry if someone has already broken this down somewhere. Too much content this week to keep up with everything.

Read Guidry’s response to that. It wasn’t on Jaden why the play broke loose.

Not to be the porsting police, but man this is so CIS-"the answer is simple but you need to go find it yourself!"

Here is what this site reported on the 71-yard TD: They didn't really earn it. We gave it to them because we didn't run a defense right. We were supposed to be blitzing off the edge of that tight end, and we didn't get it done. We didn't have the edge to the defense.

The kids really weren’t that shook up because they felt like they didn't earn it. We gave it to them. We settled them down at halftime. At halftime, always coming out, our goal is to get a third quarter shutout. We feel like if we get a third quarter shutout, if we're out of the game, we can get back in. Or if we're ahead of the game, we feel like we'll increase the lead, and that's exactly what happened. We came out of the locker room, had a third quarter shutout, and set the tone for the rest of the way.

Since you wanna take it there:
On Jaden Harris: He played really, really fast. He played the way we thought he could with his skill set. He's a confident guy, and he had a lot of confidence going into the game. He got a partial sack, I guess I'd call it, but he missed the interception. He could've ended up with two, but just played really fast back there.

Even on that long run, it wasn't really his fault. It was a busted blitz by the linebacker, and he couldn't make him right. He was supposed to cover the tight end, so everybody thinks it was his fault, but it really wasn't. It was a structure of a blitz pattern that didn't get done, so he played great.

I already did. I shamed* you into posting the information................

*This is an old WEZ tactic that nearly always works on inexperienced posters who are trying to look like tough guys.

Anyone know his testing numbers? He runs about a 4.5-4.6, correct? At 6'1", you would think he'd start getting some draft attention. In fact, if our boys keep playing like they did on Saturday, we should have a huge number of guys getting serious NFL attention.

I think he ran in the 4.4's coming out of high school. He has great size and athleticism, just needs to keep gaining experience. He will be good.

Per Cribby in 2021 so who knows now (there was rumors of him running 4.38)
