Miami will enter the season as the favorite to successfully defend their ACC Coastal title from last season, according to members of the media.
With 122 of 148 first place votes, the Canes are the clear-cut frontrunners for their second division title. The Virginia Tech Hokies are considered their primary competition with 16 first place votes, followed by GT (8) and Duke (1). UNC also scored a first place vote as well.
The media is also predicting an ACC Championship rematch by giving Clemson the edge in the Atlantic, as the Tigers sewed up all but 4 first place votes on the other side of the conference.
