McCord and Quan Muhammad

Not an x's and o'x guy, but it would seem that having more athletic "rush style" ends would be an advantage against and option if your goal is to set the edge and force the play back inside. It's not like gatech has 340 tackles they are going against.

We're multiple. I'm convinced AG made the 3-4 comment this week for some other strategic purpose, whether it be for the game, recruiting, something. AG is always thinking.

Not sure how much time those guys receive, but I'm expecting Chick to have a huge impact tomorrow.

McCord played quite a bit last year in this game. No reason he shouldn't see a lot of time. He knows the offense and he's more than physically capable.

Looking at the other side of Roku's question, this might be a good opportunity for a Jelani Hamilton to get some quality reps at D end.

Defending the option is more about DISCIPLINE than anything else. I don't see why McCord can't play every down. GT's running attack isn't a physical, punch you in the mouth style. All they do is cut-block. With that said, I can see why AQM would stay off the field.

Agreed. I can see Golden being a bit protective of Quan in this game.

I think they will play a good amount. Getting bodies in there and being able to get penetration is huge.

The key to defending the option is stopping the dive play. The dive is their bread and butter if you don't take that away you can't attack anything. Porter and Renfrow will be keys to this game. If they are on their game and stopping the dive, it'll force GTech to the edges, where they'll hit a few plays for sure, but our speed and athleticism on the edges will eat their offense up.

If the dive is working for them, they'll be able to control the game better and hit some plays on the edges and keep things close.

McCord will be an asset in this game, and AQM will have spots to play. I anticipate the team staying focused on their assignments, stopping the dive and forcing GTech to have throw to win. Canes roll!
