Wondering how much playing time these guys will receive tomorrow. Pass rushing specialists aren't really needed against this *** offense are they?

Quan maybe not as much but McCord will see the field in some capacity. Golden mentioned he is making too many plays too keep off. He will have a role

They will get their snaps. Especially on third and long, holy bejeez i would hate to be a GT qb on 3rd down.

3rd and long, they will get burn.

3rd and short, they will likely not.

Up by a lot and GT has to pass, they will play.

Close game, they will play less.

Quan, I don't know about. But as someone already said. McCord is a playmaker and an leader on this defense. I don't care who we are playing he needs to get his reps. He's one of those guys where things just seem to happen around him when he is on the field.

GT doesn't drop back and pass. Ever. They line up in their same personnel 100% of the time so I'm not sure we'll see a nickel package at any point.

GT threw the ball 24 (out of 66 plays) times against VT and that was a close game.

Quad is freshman. GT offense is new to him. Al has shown he will protect freshmen from exposure too soon. McCord will probably get burn. Quad might get fed in later GT has to pass. Inexperience against those cut blocks of GT can lead to injuries not just yardage. Al is on mission and win against first ACC foe is important, just like the swamp scum game, so he will do what is needed. Quad will get plenty of burn against NC and VT.

AG said the staff would be looking for ways to get McCord on the field as often as possible.

They'll throw the ball, but they'll do it from that same formation every time. They'll never bring another WR on the field. It's the same personnel every play. So if its 3rd and long they're just as likely to run the ball. If they throw its some retarded roll out that never works.

If you watched GT vs Duke they lined up in the pistol and threw the ball. Also at the end of the 1st half against UNC he lined up in the shotgun and went 5 for 5 on the drive.

I don't know. when we ran the 4-3 and had our fast, lighter ends, our ends got upfield and disrupted the play. depends on how they want to defend the offense. and if they can prove to be disciplined and take the right man, they could be a huge help.

I would think that because of their athletism, they will get lots of burn. These two would be in the backfield all day and disrupting the timing of plays. Just need the middle to be solid, but I would think you'd want as much athletism on the outside as possible.

I know it's been said we'll run a base 3-4 defense but we really are just a multiple front and I don't think we'll see a lot of the the 3-4 unless it's with the rush-ends (OLB's) up near the line. It'll be interesting for sure. I think by the 2nd qtr Paul Johnson will be running everything he can away from Armbrister.

I was only emphasizing your point. I am aware that they hardly throw the ball and they run almost everything out of that same formation. A couple days ago when discussing the VT GT game, I was amazed at how PJ does not have any other formations to use. They could have potentially won/tied the game if they had a goal line/red zone formation. In addition, when they need to run a quick scoring play they need to have some 3 WR sets or something else.

It is insane how the playbook stays the same.
