May the Cristobal purge begin....

I never liked the Flagg take but I always said no matter how much I rip a dude they are more of a cane than I will ever be. I mean they played for the team I didn't so. But that is the coaches fault....we shouldn't as message board fans have better evals than the coaches. U know the program is in bad shape when me a couch fan has better evals than the HC. That's what made me fuqin angry and the fans made me angry cause they said he was great. So most of my anger went on those bafoons arguing about this topic that he wasn't a UM caliber linebacker.
I fully agree. Not taking a shot here…but, if we didn’t take Flagg, it would have been another guy with limitations. It’s not like we turned away a physical freak to get him. It was more that the recruiting and evaluation on the whole was bad. Do you prefer we don’t take anyone over him?

I also think we need to consider that we may not have always known all the details about why kids were playing or not, or favored or not. For instance, I was very down on Sam Brooks for delaying surgery/treatment for his eyesight and his turf toe, but what if he was distrustful of our medical staff (as is now coming to light, generally)?

I'll trust Mario to make some good assessments going forward. Who to keep, who to push out, etc.
said differently, we don't know the true reason some players did not play more than others who appeared more qualified. certainly favoritism and senioritis played a role. i hope mario is able to flesh and flush these motives out.

Don’t love the tone of this. Kids don’t owe you **** other than to try their best. No reason to kick em on the way out. Handle this with class, half of em went to a high school we’ll see again.
I’m going to guess you weren’t alive in the 80s or early 90s. If you were and still have that attitude, I’m not sure what to say.

Do you think Michael Irvin or the Blades brothers or Russell Maryland or the countless all time greats in program history were handed things on a silver platter?

If you don’t want to work and be great, move the eff on.

Maryland was 350 lbs. and had one offer to Indiana State!

Here we go, bunch of adults getting a boner for kicking kids off the team. I get this is part of the process, but it's getting real old watching this cycle. Because it's coolaide drinking season, everybody who leaves was just weak anyway and the team is stronger for it. Next step is a bunch of adults crying next season because we have no depth.

Upper case Weaklings… bold…
Nesta! Talkin all that crib talk.. it's post everywhere about How were tryna get better on the Dline instead of coming back being a leader dude bounces smh kinda messed up if you ask me! We needed you bruh all good tho we still got JHH I think he's gonna ball out this year!!

I agree with general sentiment of not ripping on the kids, but there are certain ones who deserved to be ripped on cuz of personal choices that put themselves above their teammates. Like guys going out getting blasted the night before games and ****ting the bed the next day.

We got 1 LB signed, and no ready to play transfers (yet). Flagg seems like a guy that will work, wether he has the physical traits of a Miami great doesn't really matter until we have guys that take his reps in the fold. Why on earth is anyone calling for him to be shown the door at this juncture?

Exactly. Would people have preferred they just kept running BJ Jennings out there? Flagg is limited physically and is probably best suited for a reserve role but people have this weird idea that if he leaves, the linebacker room will all of the sudden be good.

If a guy is a locker room problem like some have speculated Nesta is, then it’s probably best they move on. But running off otherwise good teammates who might not be the most talented guys does nothing to improve the team. There’s not a logjam of superstars waiting to transfer in being held back by Flagg.

We goin to 3-4 from the sounds of it and from guys Cristobal has targeted and his talks he wants jumbo athletes with size in trenches, how about if he was not in Cristobal future plans? How is that messed up, Cristobal literally said he has a certain look that he wants, Kid played here 4 years and he might not have been the force we expected but the kid always hustled and played hard.. He was an undersized DT, coach with different philosophy comes in you got to make smart decision too.. Thats life, its not a one way street.
