Maxwell Award Finalist

Agreed, pimping a pose when your team is losing to a perennial doormat is cringe.

And I’m not a get off my lawn guy. I know the Canes history and it makes the game more fun.
I am a get off my lawn guy, yet we both see this the same.

Ok, I'm not really, but on the internet I am. The bolded part is just stupid. I don't have a problem with NIL (although I think it needs some controls/regs), celebrations, kids being kids, etc. I'm good with having fun - life is too dam short. It's self-promo pimping when you're losing for the sake of self gain that is, to use your word, cringe.

This is laughable. It's not even like we're a 7-5 team and Cam is just padding stats. We're 10-1, setting records left and right, highly ranked, and firmly in the playoff hunt - for now.

IMO this is absolutely a symptom of and precursor to us plummeting out of the playoff picture with even one more loss. We have to work 3 times as hard for the same recognition.

Gabriel plays in the Big Ten, but more importantly he looked really good in that Ohio State game that everyone saw. He’s trading almost entirely on that.

It’s a joke because if any quarterback in the Big Ten or SEC had Cam‘s numbers he’d be the runaway Heisman favorite.
And if not for a ticky tack Offensive PI at the end of the game, Oregon loses that game and that argument is all for not. To base an MVP award on one game is ridiculous.

This is awesome! In the sense it’ll just feed more into the cams ZERO STARS mentality! CW1 will go off this wknd vs Syracuse. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

It’s bull**** but at the end of the day, Cam appears to have regressed (or maybe ‘reverted back to the mean’ is the better terminology) the last few games so the hype has worn off nationally.

Ultimately, Cam had the opportunity to put on another game winning drive against Gtech which would have solidified his standing but instead he fumbled it away.

It’s does seam that Cam had to play lights out every game, which is not true of the rest.

Gabriel went 22/31 for 218, 0TD 1INT in a 16 point effort in his last game out. If Cam did that in any game other than FSU we lose. Gabriel has 3 games all season throwing 3 touchdowns. Cam has only gone under 3 touchdowns in 3 games. Gabriel has 2 games all season throwing for 300+ yards. Cam has gone under 300 in only 2 games.

It’s bull****. There’s no rationalizing it. It’s complete bull****.

I hope Cam ignores it. He deserves to be there and doesn’t need to prove **** else. I don’t want him forcing **** or in his head trying to make extra “Wow” plays so the award ppl notice. Keep making the plays you’ve made all year and improve living to fight another down.

Some of these duck fans are so blinded by their fandom to the point where it’s almost sickening. Dude really tried to justify Gabriel over Cam because “he’s a good leader and the team loves him”😂
