Matt corral 5 qb

Question is... could he actually come to a city like Miami and not get into trouble a la Kevin Olsen. I think that's what keeping Mark away from Corral. I've heard read some blogs where they talk about this kid as possible trouble maker. That's good for every other position except QB.

Brooklyn , how's Perry looking what are your thoughts on him?

Perry is looking great. My lone concern with him is & always has been how he adapts to the speed & this level of competition... I am starting to feel better about it as he's a great kid. Partly because I realize he's our only hope for the season we deserve.

Don't sleep on Shirreffs ... He may not win the battle, but he's off the charts mentally at the position, has great leadership, and that is going to push Perry. The end result is that we're stronger at QB, and that helps the team.

I like Sits. He is a gym rat with the physical tools. He has a way to go but I would always choose someone with the size and strength that wants to work and get bettet than a 5 star kid that does not have the drive. Being a cane is not for everyone. He has work to to but he has as mich potential as any QB in this class.

Wow! Kid's highlights are hard to overlook. Got all the goods, like a super mobile Brett Favre. Get this guy signed, sortem out later.

Well I'll specify then. He can't be on this team. We think Kevin Olsen was a train wreck for off the field reasons Matt corral makes him look like a choir boy. He's an alcoholic & a druggie (it is what it is,not judging just stating a fact) he would probably be either in jail or dead here. People think he decommited from sc. Reality is he got dropped for showing up on campus for an sc practice drop dead fall out drunk... furthermore he's got anger issues. He just "transferred" out of his last school because he beat the stuff out of Wayne gretzkys son... much talent as he has until he deals with his issues it's all simply being wasted.

Yet Florida is willing to look past all of that and take him just because they want a five-star quarterback and Mac is desperate

He ain't even looking at uf
I think it was a report the other day saying that he dropped bama and is looking at uga and uf. He's visiting them next Friday and uga soon after. Uga most likely sitting #1 for Justin fields and corral but I think corral goes elsewhere since fields looks like he's heading to uga

Fields at UGA is interesting ...

I like the Jake Frohm kid they signed this cycle. Sandwiching him between Eason and Fields would likely mean a transfer is on the horizon ...

Fromm will end up better college QB than Fields. Can not see Fields at Ga sitting on bench 2 years. Be like Cook going ther and 4 better backs on gem in front of him.

If he doesn't live up to the evaluations we have time to find someone else with Perry and Weldon here.

If he doesnothave a good year betting he will not end up in class. Have a feeling he lights it up this year, and everybody goo a like him.

Staff should straight up tell him to get his **** straight and then come play for The U. The kid can ****** ball.

I don't have a good gut feeling about Corral . The kid is really talented and a obviously ahead of Artur at this stage in career but i don't want him on this team, i'll leave it at that.

If his parents give a **** about him they tighten the rains and get his *** some help. We all drank some in HS but come on. And even worse, if they have no idea of his problem then that should give us all some insight of his upbringing.

Brooklyn has connections to IMG, so I would love a Noah Cain at paradise commitment, but I can't imagine that at the moment. Brooklyn, any other current commits that you feel shaky on. I love how Brian is locked in, but I'm curious to know if there are other rumblings of guys peeking at other schools

Yes...

Brooklyn, what's your opinion of Weldon? Will he continue to grow into someone who could push and compete with Perry?

Definitely. I wouldn't be surprised in the long run if Weldon ends up better than Perry. He's still in the race by the way.

Is the issue that we are riding with Art or do we have no interest in corral we'll consider others?

Unfortunately it's were riding with art....

Basically you're telling us that Sitkowski is an overrated prospect. I've honestly never been a huge fan but I don't know much about prospects in football so...

Dee has always not been high on Sitkowski, both for on and off the field reasons. He's been very consistent on this. Obviously Richt doesn't feel he's overrated, otherwise he'd have gone out and got another QB.

The good thing is that we'll get to see for ourselves this year. It's sink or swim for him at IMG. No more having to discuss whether it's his terrible NJ HS team being responsible for his bad stats.

The question is where is the disconnect. Is it a complete misevaluation of talent?

Its his only peaks come when he's in shirts & tees. Not only that but something that should be glaring for the people who aren't paying attention is the fact that ****kowski literally went to a la regional, new jersey, Orlando & miami regionals all in the attempts to simply secure an invite to the opening... for those that missed it,he never got that invite... It's not just me guys.

People gave up on Weldon after a rough spring, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him look much more comfortable and impressive when fall practice rolls around. People underestimate just how tough it is for most HS QBs to walk in and feel comfortable leading a marquee college program in a few weeks.

Agreed. I have questioned people on this board about the last time a--true--freshman quarterback has led their team to an incredible season. No one ever has an answer. I realize people think Perry is the next coming of God, which is fine, but expectations seem to be a little too high for him. The best thing that can happen in a situation like this is that Weldon, and the other quarterbacks on the roster, play their best so that Perry is pushed, through competition, to be become a better player each and every week. I've said it before and I'll say it again: competition breeds success. Above anything else, the quarterback position needs competition, so I hope Weldon can provide that.
