The Lassiter district is in East Cobb and is very wealthy. The school isn't really known for football, though they have one of the top traveling high school baseball team in the country based out of there. (East Cobb Yankees). It is very likely that he comes from a wealthy family.

I know this program well. My kids go to school here and watch them play every Friday. Lassiter is a good program, not elite. It is one of the largest schools in the state. They aren’t as good as they were when Hutson Mason and Lutzie were there. They sent two class of 18 kids to major programs. Derrik Allen went to Notre Dame and Christian Jackson to Michigan State.

They are competitive within their region. Very rarely have they been competitive in playoffs. It's a school more known for Band and baseball.
 
I think I am pretty familiar with the program since I lived here for 15 years. I said it was a good program not one of the best in the state. They made it to the state semi finals in 2011. I have a feeling that next years team will not be very good. The school is more known for its baseball and lacrosse programs and yes their band.

Played in a couple tournaments against them growing up. Always a solid squad
 
Steve Alvers former U alumni TE but made a carrier in the NFL 5-6 years with NY Giants and BILLS as the #1 rated long snapper in the NFL ,ask any coach if that position isn't important and wait to hear what they say.

You guys are not old enough to remember the long-snapping fiasco of our opening game against the Gator in 1987. We should have had a shutout but we gave them two safeties on bad punt snaps by a defensive end, Willis Peguese. We beat the Gator 31-4, when we should have won 31-0.

I never question a decision to make it a priority to have a top-flight specialist at the long-snapper position. If that means putting a guy on scholarship, than so be it.

I trust the coaches. A bad snap can cost you a critical game if the score is close.

More known for Band? Lot of trolls? We need a list here of former posters who were Band.

Don't need a whole bunch of new trolls from that area.
