Maryland 1/13 (8:00PM ESPNU)

That was the Indiana State game, but we won. **** , that was hard to watch, but good teams find ways to win. Kadji and Gamble were as beast mode as you can get in a game that awful. Scott needs to break out of his slump. You know it's a bad night when Rion has 2 straight 3s go 95% of the way down the basket before coming out. He makes those and we're up 25-11 and probably win by 20.

Obviously Duke is huge, but I never thought I'd say BC is a very important game. We killed them twice last year, but the game up there was close until about 8 minutes to go when we outscored them like 20-0 to end it. Thankfully we have a week after BC before Duke, because I don't think we'll be looking ahead that far in advance.

This reminds me of a game we played against St John's in the Big East, final score was like 42-41 or something close. Both teams shot under 25%, just ugly, messy play.

Doesn't matter, just win.

45-42, our first ever Big East win. I had that game on VHS for years. It was 14-12 at the half

The break after BC is huge. Allows our guys to rest up and be fresh for that game. Hopefully Kelly and Curry are out.

Yeah that's it. I was there that night and it looked like a bunch of fat dudes at the Y throwing up brick after brick. Lemme tell ya, the Miami Arena was not the prettiest of places to play, but when neither team could make a shot and you heard the clank echo in an 80% empty stadium, it was embarrassing enough to make you wish you were somewhere, anywhere else.

I went to too many games with 500 people at the old arena. Good times.

One thing I'd hammer home if I was Coach L, and that's not to always try and go for the kill shot. Sometimes it's better to pick up the first down on 2 and 1 when you're trying to run out the clock as opposed to throwing it deep.

Against Indy State we were up 7 with 3 minutes left and were 0-whatever from 3s. Instead of getting a high % shot, we take a 3. We miss but get the offensive rebound and instead of working 30 seconds off the clock we take another 3. Last night we were up 10 with 5 left, and we came down and took a bad 3. They didn't score, we came down and took another 3 without running time off the clock. They then scored 5 quick points to make us sweat.

I too remember those days. No one ever wanted to go with, so I'd make the trek solo from campus. Cool thing last night was Coach L screaming "Get up! Get the **** up!" when he wanted noise from the crowd in the second half.

Bruce Pearl ‏@coachbrucepearl Julian Gamble turned me down at UT seven years ago. Great to see stepping up with injury to Reggie Johnson #ACCSunday on @ESPNU Miami#1 ACC

Pearl and Greenberg (probably cause they're Jews) have been pretty favorable towards the canes and giving them respect. I just appreciate unbiased talk about us, not Jay Bilias and his opinion on why the canes suck.

Cause they're Jews:rollcanes: Maybe, or maybe because Seth coached at Miami under Foster and wanted the job badly when Haith got it.

Oh it's not because they're ******. Pearl when his ______ from the NCAA is over would probably come to Miami as would Greenberg. Greenberg got the shaft IMO because he was let go, he should have had 2 More Tourney appearances but the ***** at the NCAA said your nose was to big.

What is the deal with Bilas and UM? He was one of the ones who was hammering us about the NCAA stuff too. Hes a complete douche

He's from Dook, that explains some it. But, really, he's a d-bag, so that explains the rest of it.

He hates what is different, we are different. We're not supposed to have success. It's like **** Vitale (pro ND) with his comments after Nevin-Gate. People don't like us and never will.
