The emotional swings from some porsters is really a thing of beauty sometimes. Like watching a young Lion taking down a wounded water buffalo in the Serengeti. And I’m not talking about troll accounts like @fraggle, although he’s entertaining in his own right.I like his energy. I’ll leave the fitness critiques to the experts.
I mean it’s CIS, our previous strength coach sucked according to the haters, then immediately won an award for top coach as soon as he left …
Swasey or bust for some here!
Seemed to me he got better as the reps happenedI thought he’d need a year but I liked what I saw . He has great feet for that size. I defended him on the game board when he had his bad moments. At that height leverage was going to be problematic. Occasionally guys would get into his body and would fold him up like Neo in matrix. He’s ahead of schedule though.
He has a lot of potential, he needs to get stronger in his hips, butt, legs, and core so he doesn’t get push back as easy, he needs to do basketball defensive drills to work on his feet. With that and better overall technique he’s a potential first rounder.I know nothing about playing OL
Actually “nothing” is generous. If you can know less about it than nothing that’s me
But I do know some people that do and the consensus was he would need a year before he was ready but when he was, sky was the limit
So seems he was a bit ahead of schedule there which obviously came with some lumps
That's correct flexibility and quick twitch exercises will make him a ton of money for when he has to go against those speed rushersHe needs to spend even more time doing agility drills and quick twitch exercises (box jumps, ropes, etc). Added strength won't hurt, but the biggest issue he has working against him is his size. 6'9" is awesome on the roster sheet, but 6'5" 260 lb defensive ends with technique destroy him because he struggles to get his hips low and maintain his base and quickness.
I'm not attacking what you said; simply adding a very important piece.
Lemme let everyone in on a little secret about S&C and people that talk about it:I like his energy. I’ll leave the fitness critiques to the experts.

You ain't wrong brodie. The real separation between S&C coaches is how well the programming is long term and the ability to quickly pivot to a possibly more effective method when it's necessary. All the other areas of opportunity are addressed by either nutrition/recovery or simply recruiting better athletes with higher ceilings.Lemme let everyone in on a little secret about S&C and people that talk about it:
S&C ain’t complicated. You pick some **** up and move it and then you try and pick up more **** and move it faster
For this reason most everyone involved in S&C has to (mostly through insecurity and jealousy probably from drug use because they couldn’t hack it as an athlete) they’ll tell you every other S&C coach sucks and is basically trying to kill their clients
It’s usually some dusty old ***** that have some even dustier older **** on a pedestal because they helped them through their awkward phase
So since there’s really not much to discuss with S&C you gotta make **** up. No one is doing anything revolutionary or complicated or unique
Only real skill there is trying to get through to a bunch of different types of kids to figure out what pushes them (which is a great skill don’t get me wrong)
Feld does some weird interview with a bosu ball for YouTube and the insecure old ***** jump all over him because they’re insecure
Our best quarter was the 4th quarter. I’ve never seen Felds workouts, or Feeleys, so I can’t really comment on specifics other than that
There’s definitely an art to being a motivator and a coach especially these days with the distractions at a maximum and time with players seemingly reducing every yearYou ain't wrong brodie. Add in the fact that they need to get the player where they need to be as quickly as possible now with the transfer portal looking like a greener pasture. There’s definitely an art to being a motivator and a coach especially these days with the distractions at a maximum and time with players seemingly reducing every year

People hating on Feld are probably using their 4 grit sandpaper jerking off to Mark Rippetoe Starting StrengthSo basically download the Cavinder Twins app and we fuccin!
That’s a good point. We joke about “culture” but finding the right fit is huge now because rosters flip so quicklyAdd in the fact that they need to get the player where they need to be as quickly as possible now with the transfer portal looking like a greener pasture.
