Markel Bell is not hurt

Clarification: there is no new NCAA ruling- there is a district court injunction that essentially prohibits the NCAA from preventing 1 player from playing next year because his years in jr. college shouldn't count against his 4 years of eligibility. It will almost certainly be appealed and I didn't see any language in the opinion stating that a nationwide injunction was ordered. I will be a little surprised if the Court of Appeal doesn't look at this differently than the District Court did.
But, if another player were to seek the same relief as Pavia did, I have no doubt that somewhere a judge will issue the same injunction. Whether any of these rulings hold up on appeal is another issue.

Once the dam breaks though….IMO this will become a new rule.

You might be right. I think this one is a little different though, the NCAA has a better argument about how many years of post-HS eligibility everyone should have than they do in other matters. It's the NCAA, so they can F things up all by themselves, but I think they might win this argument.

Don’t think it matters. He’s a first rd pick next year
Why is our fanbase obsessed with crowning people after 1 year ? Lol ...I'm old enough to remember TVD, Jon Garvin, Shaq Quartman and pile of others were going to be 1st round picks. Let it play out

But in fairness to this site, once he gives up a sack, he should be benched in favor of the true freshman who is assuredly a top 5 NFL pick based on the 8 seconds of high school film the poster watched. So yeah, quick to hype but equally quick to throw on the trash heap.

He just needs to live in the weight room this off season. If he becomes stronger against the bull rush and improve run block a little bit he'll be a top 3 rd guy
He needs to spend even more time doing agility drills and quick twitch exercises (box jumps, ropes, etc). Added strength won't hurt, but the biggest issue he has working against him is his size. 6'9" is awesome on the roster sheet, but 6'5" 260 lb defensive ends with technique destroy him because he struggles to get his hips low and maintain his base and quickness.

I'm not attacking what you said; simply adding a very important piece.

So basically he just needs to fill the sleeves with the mustache man

He is 100x times better now than his first start against famu. That being said, he is draftable on measurables not film at the moment. This will be a great way to judge development at Miami. He came in with very little technique and experience and most of his development can be contributed to mirabal.

Tell me you don’t like Feld without telling me you don’t like Feld.

I like his energy. I’ll leave the fitness critiques to the experts.

I mean it’s CIS, our previous strength coach sucked according to the haters, then immediately won an award for top coach as soon as he left …

Swasey or bust for some here!

I know nothing about playing OL

Actually “nothing” is generous. If you can know less about it than nothing that’s me

But I do know some people that do and the consensus was he would need a year before he was ready but when he was, sky was the limit

So seems he was a bit ahead of schedule there which obviously came with some lumps

I thought he’d need a year but I liked what I saw . He has great feet for that size. I defended him on the game board when he had his bad moments. At that height leverage was going to be problematic. Occasionally guys would get into his body and would fold him up like Neo in matrix. He’s ahead of schedule though.
