Smart was chosen for one big reason. They need someone who knows Saban better than anyone else. The SEC is about beating Saban.

We would not have taken Smart.

If we can find a DC who can bring the same dimension from the defensive side, it's going to be a really, really good run....

DC Dog Nuts - Wasn't meant to provide football analysis or insight. And haven't seen much of any from anyone else. But, don't get me wrong, I am very happy with this hire and want nothing less than what every other U fan wants. I understand the exuberance and enthusiasm, but all these expectations just might be over the top and pointing towards more disappointment. Hope not. In the meantime, looking forward to real progress in staff and recruitment.
