Mark is still employed

Um, he isn't getting fired. We will continue to be awful on defense. Not holding out hope on offense either. Zero adjustments were made during a game when we got dominated. Don't see how we will be any better next year.

This... but thats why Jimbo didn't let Coley call plays... but AG doesn't see that... Coley sticks to his game plan... you have to be able to adjust in this business.

******* Florida fired that piece of **** offensive coordinator the day after their final game.

UF class was falling apart and needed to make a spalsh before they lost Cook and Lane. eventhough many don't expect Cook to sign with them he still hasn't decommited.

?? Really? Jimbo didn't let Coley call the plays because he is a egotistically maniac who is always going to call his own plays like Chip Kelly will always call his own plays.

You cant completely ignoring the fact that Coley was stuck with a lame duck QB who can barely throw screens with any consistency. Having a 3rd down completion of 34% prevents you from even establishing a game plan.

Ive said it 20 times, the ONLY way Donofrio is leaving here, is if he "moves on to another gig" in a way that doesnt make it look like he was fired. Golden is going to do anything he can to not ***** Donofrio's career.

Is there a high school he can go coach

Here is what I want to know.

If you are Coach D, aren't you looking for another gig?

My point is even if Al keeps Coach D through 2014 and the same exact thing happens (we go 5-3 and the D hardly improves). At this point, Al has to be thinking (although a little late) what is best for him and his career and not about his buddy. At this point it has been 4 years straight of the same crap D. Maybe the Admin forces Al at this point.

Al may have 2 years left (barring a meltdown) but Coach D probably only has 1 more year left.

If I am Coach D I am looking for the best gig available with the most job security.

It's funny, if I'm Coach D, and Al is a life long friend, I would be looking elsewhere to make his life easier.

There is that too.

But at the end of the day, Coach D is young and I don't think he is set for life. If I am Coach D, I am looking for some gig that is more secure than the one I have.

When has Mark once taken ownership of our pathetic defense? "Busted coverage, too many missed tackles" is all he says. Al covers for him by saying "It's my job to fix it"

I still don't understand how this guy gets so many free passes. What other job in the world, outside of US President and/or CEO of an American auto company, would allow you to keep your position after performing so poorly? **** friendships. This is still a business in the end.

It is Al's job to fix it. He is the HC and it is his defense. As for Al covering him, I am sure that is why people like working with Al.

LOL

Why would D be looking for another job when he knows Golden is too in love to fire him?

He has no reason to be worried about his job security.

I thought I explained why he should be looking for a new gig. Al isn't guaranteed a job forever at Miami. Even if what you say is 100% true, at some point either Al will be let go or his hand will be forced. My guess is barring a meltdown, 2014 will be Coach D's last year at Miami.

If I knew I only had 1 year left, I would be looking for something more secure. That is me.

Whether this is Al's fault (i.e. it is his D and he is actually coaching) or it is Coach D's fault (he is fully coaching the D himself), I believe Coach D wants to be employed for a longer period of time and not go coach HS (see Pat Nix).

The real issue is Shalala she doesnt give two ***** about sports, she doesnt put enough money into hiring a coach that was qualified in her time at Miami> She has done nothing but tear down the Miami football program and prople still dont want to see this? She is 72 years of age how many more years will she stick around? She can raise all the money for her next project but hasnt lifted her finger to raise money for a football stadium?

Do you really think Dorito and Golden are anticipating another collapse on defense that'll force D out? I have a feeling they trust their system and aren't expecting another horrible defensive year.

Again, from what I've gathered Golden isn't firing D'ohno. So he has no reason to worry about his job security. If the defense is this bad again next, the entire staff will probably be looking for new jobs.

It's an insult to the fans and this program that this ******* is still employed.

Him being still employed and there be no evidence of Golden even considering firing him has me sad as ****.

Yes I do think they are anticipating another collapse on defense, AG's comments to the palm beach post basically stated that. Re-read his word to Matt Porter after the game.
