Class is to important to fire him now even if Al wanted to
Um, he isn't getting fired. We will continue to be awful on defense. Not holding out hope on offense either. Zero adjustments were made during a game when we got dominated. Don't see how we will be any better next year.
******* Florida fired that piece of **** offensive coordinator the day after their final game.

This... but thats why Jimbo didn't let Coley call plays... but AG doesn't see that... Coley sticks to his game plan... you have to be able to adjust in this business.
Ive said it 20 times, the ONLY way Donofrio is leaving here, is if he "moves on to another gig" in a way that doesnt make it look like he was fired. Golden is going to do anything he can to not ***** Donofrio's career.
Here is what I want to know.
If you are Coach D, aren't you looking for another gig?
My point is even if Al keeps Coach D through 2014 and the same exact thing happens (we go 5-3 and the D hardly improves). At this point, Al has to be thinking (although a little late) what is best for him and his career and not about his buddy. At this point it has been 4 years straight of the same crap D. Maybe the Admin forces Al at this point.
Al may have 2 years left (barring a meltdown) but Coach D probably only has 1 more year left.
If I am Coach D I am looking for the best gig available with the most job security.

It's funny, if I'm Coach D, and Al is a life long friend, I would be looking elsewhere to make his life easier.

When has Mark once taken ownership of our pathetic defense? "Busted coverage, too many missed tackles" is all he says. Al covers for him by saying "It's my job to fix it"

LOL
Why would D be looking for another job when he knows Golden is too in love to fire him?
He has no reason to be worried about his job security.
Do you really think Dorito and Golden are anticipating another collapse on defense that'll force D out? I have a feeling they trust their system and aren't expecting another horrible defensive year.
Again, from what I've gathered Golden isn't firing D'ohno. So he has no reason to worry about his job security. If the defense is this bad again next, the entire staff will probably be looking for new jobs.
