Mark is still employed

3 NFL coaches have been canned the night of and day after their season starts. It's going on 48 hours and D'Onfrio is still employed by the University of Miami. It's not happening fellas and with the slim chance that it does happen, it should be quite alarming that it has taken this long. Al probably has Mark on the golf course while the rest of the staff is "busting their tails".

Ive said it 20 times, the ONLY way Donofrio is leaving here, is if he "moves on to another gig" in a way that doesnt make it look like he was fired. Golden is going to do anything he can to not ***** Donofrio's career.

Back to square one...since we all know NO'D won't get a chance anywhere because EVERYONE can see his defense blows, there is only one way that NO'D leaves.

Um, he isn't getting fired. We will continue to be awful on defense. Not holding out hope on offense either. Zero adjustments were made during a game when we got dominated. Don't see how we will be any better next year.

This this and only this. You people thinking it was going to be the day after are delusional. If it's going to happen it will be after other jobs in the nfl open up.

This is a delicate situation for Golden. If he does the right thing and fires him he will not fire him but help him get a position job in the nfl so it looks ok for mark and doesn't ruin his career.

I have full faith in Dorito is going to get canned, for no more reason of my own sanity.

"Delicate" is a great one word definition for 3 years with Al Golden.

I think Al and D share the sentiment that this defense will work with the right personnel. I don't agree, but I don't think they care. This is our defense as long as we have Al. I'm ready to watch Chad Thomas play coverage in the slot while sending Mike Smith on inside twists :ohlord:

I dare the university to retain Dorito. 15k attendance guaranteed.

wish it was true...come signing day this place will be all excited then comes spring ball when we see glimmers of some new players and then August is here, the School does an all blitz of ticket sales and we are back to square one...the same attendance as usual...

FSU will sell out like UF did.....UNC will have 45-50 K and after that the rest will be 35-40K and donna is sitting in wet panties over a 7 or 8 win team heading to another bowl in mid dec.....

It definitely needs to happen. As others have said it will be discreet and not a firing and probably after signing day. If he is still here next year we better go undefeated or Al needs to be fired.

If this firing is going to happen it will take place after National Signing Day. We have a monster defensive class and can't afford to expose our self to negative recruiting and uncertainty. I don't think Golden would be considering a presently unemployed coach. More than likely they would be looking to steal a DC from another college or hire a position coach from NFL.

Hopefully Mark will do his best friend a favor and save his job, by deciding to spend more time with his family.

Maybe he his waiting to see if Penn state will offer the job than he can take dorito with him. Knowing our luck as of late golden will get offered Penn state job and somehow get dorito the head coaching job here when he leaves

If dorito does get fired we can rest assured that it will be long after all the quality DC candidates have been scooped up and we are left either promoting a jag from within or hiring a jag from outside again at the position.

My faith in the athletic department at the U is at an all time low.

Of course he is. I keep telling you all this is bigger than football for fat Albert. He was never going to fire his bff....never. Al is willing to go down with the ship and preserve his friendship. This leads me to believe he is not "the guy" for this program.

******* Florida fired that piece of **** offensive coordinator the day after their final game.

****ing Florida fired that piece of **** offensive coordinator the day after their final game.

Because the University of Florida is committed to the Football program and can't afford to not make changes. The UM administration is more concerned about its perception and doing the things "the right way." This is coming from someone who doesn't bash Shalala, but it's pretty obvious winning is not a the top priority to the school.
