I don't understand this kid wanting to be a RB when he could be a superstar at Safety.

RBs make less in the NFL and their careers are much shorter.

His ceiling at Safety is much higher IMO.

No matter what he wants to play, kid needs to be a Cane.

Maybe he wants to have this ball in his hands?

I do agree -- from a long-term perspective money-wise Safety is the better choice. RBs generally don't last long enough to make huge money.

The big thing to watch is if he makes it out to Paradise in the Summer. I think Tyson skipped out on Junior Day and Paradise. If Richards makes it to Paradise, I think we have a chance.

I really believe Miami is in a good place with this kid, BUT we can't ignore the signs!! IF this kid start to be MIA for Miami events BUT makes it to other schools for their events, then we should think to believe the signs and just think he isn't feeling Miami like most might have thought, BUT it's still early and we have a lot of time to see!! BUT we can't ignore the signs, IF this kid makes it to Miami Junior Day some how, then we know that Miami is definitely a school he is taking serious..

Ivins today said it sounds like Florida is **** near tied with Miami at this point. They need to tell this kid what he wants to hear, tell him he can play offense.

Telling you guys right now... M.A. Richards is going to be a battle to the very end. From everything I've seen/heard out of Palm Beach, kid loves the attention he is getting and doesn't appear to care if he's being fed BS from coaches telling him "he'll get to play wherever he wants". We don't have that luxury because A) CMR is the most honest coach around and B) his brother isn't going to beat around the bush.

If we lose him to UF I would say that’s a result of us playing poorly offensively this season and UF showing promise

Kid seems like he’s honestly attention seeking. It’s annoying to me tbh

By visiting?
Chill. Treat him like every other recruit. His brother isn't even going to be on campus by the time he get here.
He's hasn't seemed even 1% as annoying as Derrick Hunter

Although that may be true and we have questions along O-line and QB right now - UF is nowhere near better in either category, especially QB.

What position does he want to play?

He's been playing RB in the 7v7 circuit but he definitely wants to be on the offensive side of the ball - @Stefan Adams probably has a little more insight than I do. I'm fine with us recruiting him as a pure athlete (ala DJD), but if we hint that we'd like to try him out on the defensive side of the ball that could spell disaster for our chances. Wouldn't be surprised if Mullens is selling him on being a Percy Harvin.

Mullen's selling him hard on that Percy Harvin role, which admittedly, he would it perfectly in. It also has to burn up his OC Billy Gonzalez inside bc, you know, Percy Harvin once choked him out.

I sincerely hope we're telling him he can do the same thing here.

EDIT: Missed the post before mine. Yep. If Richards is smart he does his homework and realizes Mullens offense hasn't really produced a skill position player worth squat since. I wonder if he's selling Zipperer on the Aaron Hernandez role (too soon)?
