There are 3 schools that “should” dominate college football - Miami, Texas and USC. Best combination of local talent pool plus unique markets plus highly desirable destination. I don’t think we should ever underestimate UTX. But they played a vastly overrated Michigan team so let’s also not crown them just yet.

With the amount of money they have at their disposal, their built-in recruiting base, and their school's location in Austin, they should be way ahead of everyone. On paper, their program should be what Alabama is. Or more. Their athletic program has its own separate endowment fund that's managed by different hedge funds. It's insane.

USC just struggles OL and DL especially because many of the Poly kids go to Oregon and Oregon State. But yes the amount they’ve lose to Bama is wild.
