At the end of the day it'll very likely be top 5. I'm not sure by what metric that's not elite. Even in the glory days we didn't get *everyone* on NSD or had to pull last minute stuff you'll never hear about to hold on to guys.. and this was off winning or appearing in national championship games. If your only metric for recruiting success is the #1 class every year you're going to be disappointed every year.

National championships aren't won/lost with one class. Mario has landed back-to-back top 7 classes which is more than enough to put you in the discussion for the next 3 years. If he signs a 3rd one for 2025, we would have Juniors from '23 playing with freshmen from '25. That is how you stack talent and win...not one year.

I never said the class wasn't successful, I've been extremely consistent over the past couple years that the bar for success is top 5, for me, and that I define "elite" as championship caliber. You're free to think differently.

How do you define elite? I think people are talking in circles and not defining what elite is. You say it’s elite by any measure but ranking by avg recruit Miami is 17th.

Addressed HUGE areas of need with an amazing DL class (perhaps top 2 in the country) then nailed RB, WR, LB. DO have a group of 3 stars ... but let's look at the FACT they have been evaluated and can play. More to be added as well. Outstanding job done by Mario and staff ... ending up with a top 5 group. Outstanding.
