The offense and defense both failed to do their job given a 21-0 lead. That's an epic failure by both.

The people crying about Mario kicking the FG with just over 2 minutes in the game are just being emotional. As I stared in this thread, kicking the FG or going for thr TD didn't matter because the defense was going to have to make a stop either way.

If we score the TD and tied the game, the defense would have to prevent Syracuse from getting into FG range for the win, which they were incapable of doing since they couldn'tget a stop when we absolutelyhad to have it. If they did get the ball back, we would be driving for the win nit a tie. In either case, the defense would have to make a stop. Mario was NOT wrong for kicking the FG.
