Yes. They ammended that rule last year because it prevented HS coaches from getting college jobs. Last year the NCAA narrowed the definition of "handler" types they were trying to keep from getting jobs for recruits.

From that FootballScoop article Scharf posted:

"...In plain English, what the proposal (authored by the ACC) attempts to do is not to open the floodgates for coaches to join from the high school or amateur ranks, but to loosen the restrictions on coaches who have already been hired at the college level but whose movements may have been hampered by the IAWP rule."
I figured Mario wouldn’t ruin his chances at Central for two years.

Luke said Mario didnt hire enough local black coaches when he was at FIU? So whats Marios response? Mario has basically made it his business to hire black coaches in South Florida or ties to SoFla who has influence to his staff. Was Luke being petty? Probably. But I love that Mario didnt just brush that off and made it a priority to turn that narrative around even if its not accurate.

Like Butch said, "Time to get the family back together". And that includes all of South Florida.

Are we still able to sign Central players? Wasn’t there a rule about hiring a HS coach and he has to be on field?
Any HS coach hired to a an off-field position for a college team, cannot have any involvement with a prospect that he once had a relationship for two years.
