Marcus Lewis to FSU

This ine hurts. Also shows why we need an early signing period which gibes kids extra benefits for signing early.

Still, this one stings the most.

I remember someone on this site arguing that Lewis was coming here as a fact when the kid was not even commited here.

What was this thing that was outside UM's control that kept him away from UM that wasn't outside fsu's control?

I blame golden for a lot but something is off when a kid picks a school out of nowhere he hasn't even visited. maybe its true what pete said about there being a reason he wasn't coming here out of our control.

Corn Elder picked Miami without visiting. He was a big time Miami fan but still. Also James King flipped and never visited.

Yep. If they give Failden long enough time to further desecrate UM they won't even have to offer official visits to #Swag16. Jizzbo will just pick up the phone the day before signing day and say, "We think you might be a decent player? Wanna come up for a tryout?".
 
What does this type of thing say about recruiting in general? You guys are always talking about getting on guys early, creating relationships, blah blah blah. Then a kid jumps to FSU without ever seeing the place. I smell $. Just does not make sense. There are so many kids that even talk about all those things, then stuff like this happens. The only thing I blame the staff for is not seeing the type of kid he obviously is in time to save face and get out of dodge.....
 
you can't tell me good coaching and recruiting can't allow you to flip someone at the last minute...

Yep. It's a huge conspiracy. He could go to stank *** Kentucky or stank *** UM or to one of the top programs in the country for the last 3 years.

So let me get this right. FSU or someone who likes FSU wants this guy and is going to buy him, but can't even buy him a plane ticket for a visit? Yup, that makes total sense.

Really? It doesn't make sense that the kid didnt want to go to a program that as many games last year as the other has lost in 4 years combined? I agree, money was involved, Marcus Lewis probably paid FSU money…..
