Seems like we are too late on him..I am convinced the coaches didnt know about him until they read this board..Hence why he got an offer last week. It makes no sense that they just reached out to him last week
Dodge City (KS) Community College DE Marcus Hardison says he landed a Hurricane offer five days ago and first spoke with Cane coaches three days ago.
"They just told me they need some experience on the defensive line, someone to be ahead of the pack in front of the freshmen and sophomores, that they have a young D line," Hardison said. "They said my film got their way, they watched it and really liked it."
Hardison, who is a June arrival, says it's not too late for him to wind up a Cane.
He currently has Arizona State as his frontrunner but is originally from Florida (the Tampa area) and says "I know a few people out that way - it wouldn't be too bad to go there. I like Miami a lot."
Hardison has already taken official visits to Texas Tech, Arizona State, West Virginia and Kansas State.
He was choosing between Washington and Auburn for the final visit before Miami came on board.
He says the Canes want him on campus the weekend of Jan. 5.
"It's a good possibility I come for a visit then," Hardison said.
He says Arizona State is in front "because they've been in the picture since last year."
Hardison said for any school to catch up "I would have to just gel well with the coaches, have a good relationship."
Hardison plans to announce a final decision "soon, right after my last visit."
