March 24th Practice, Recruit Attendees

I was informed that a local coach is bringing three underclassmen to practice today.

2019 CB Cornelius Nunn - South Dade

2020 DB/ATH Nicholas Graham - Not sure where he's attending for HS but he played for Tamiami Colts. (I was told he's considered one of the top DBs early on for his class year.)

2020 RB Andre Stringfield - Southwest (He played for Tamiami Colts)

I've mentioned Stringfield a few times here and there on this site....

I have been told through numerous people in the community, that Stringfield is going to be the next big time runningback in Dade County.

Stringfield recently clocked an electric forty yard dash at 4.56 and he hand clocked 4.47 & 4.50 at a recent youth camp event.

I was told that Stringfield has not started to lift weights yet and is expected to still grow.

He's considered the best youth football player to come into High School for 2020.

Keep an eye on this one.... image.webp

2017 Cardinal Gibbons WR Leroy Henley is visiting today. He is the cousin of Terrance Henley.

Henley is straight beast, I hope we make him a priority, this kid can do it all. I honestly think he may be the most underrated wr nationally. Kid will produce wherever he ends up.

2017 South Dade OL Kyron Taylor might pass by later today. He's committed to Marshall but I truly believe this kid is a top tier interior offensive lineman, very good in wrestling too. I've talked to him quite a bit, he's very much interested in Miami.

I like trench players who are wrestlers. They know how to use strength, footwork and balance. Henley is the WR I couldn't remember some here saying he was as good as any SOFL receivers. (Geo or any other knowledgeable scout here), If we got him and not Jeudy, would it mean we got a less capable player?

I like Henley. I was higher on him a year ago before some others came on the radar at WR. Henley is a safe pick IMO, has a high floor. I think he will be productive in college but idk if he would be a star. He's really consistent though.

I've seen Jeudy numerous times. He's the best two way player in the tri-county. I keep hearing positive things on our chances with him. Alabama is still a factor though as everyone knows.

Geo what's going on with daewood Davis I really like his film

I like Daewood, his size and speed combination is not common. He's at Chaminade-Madonna now. I was higher on him a year ago but he hasn't become more polished as I expected him to be. He has a high ceiling though, I do think they have a few guys who are more polished ahead of him, but I definitely want them to keep tabs on him as a senior. Colombi will have a lot of fun throwin to Daewood, Ali, and Xavier(2018, big fish in Broward we need to get next class)

Are there any locals worth a darn at that position? The last few years have been slim pickings for those big dudes...
Unfortunately there's no true DT's in this area that are. Kane Taylor in Tampa is someone they're targeting. The trend has been that they're offering Big DE's that are 250+ like Jonathan Ford who'll project to move to DT

Ford recently weighed in at 270. I was told grades may be a concern though.

I love Kane Taylor athleticism.

I wish they would hop on Jordon Scott from Pinellas Park. With the right S&C he could be a premier Plug.

They're keeping tabs on Rashad Colson & his grades. He's raw but has length you can't teach.

They offered McDougle from Palm Beach county on junior day last month. Undersized but he's feisty and has a motor.

The issue with DTs in south Florida. They don't grow on trees and mainly due to how the weight classes were for lil league.
exactly I've actually noticed though they're targeting big DE's like OOS Ryan Johnson, recently offered Elijiah Conliffe, Taqoun Graham, and even JUCO Isaiah Buggs who's 280( so is Conliffe ) with probably the idea of moving them to DT like Jonathan Ford. You can even say Jarez Parks is one of those guys as well because I believe sites have him around 255 pounds.

I've noticed that trend too. Johnson was down here for junior day, I got him pegged as a DT.

Parks athleticism is crazy. I doubt he would end up a DT. Physical freak.

Isn't that the speed recipe we had back in the day? Getting athletic big men who played tight end, line backers, defensive ends and turning them into linemen.

That looks like the Pounceys when they were in high school.
