2023 Marcellius Pulliam - LB (Commits to UM)

Kid is a project/flyer but when you have a loaded class like we do, it’s okay. Not to mention we are flipping a roster and we need LBs and as stated he fits the bill of what you are looking for in the middle. At the very least he contributes on STs.
Our class isn’t loaded. It’s similar to the other classes we’ve had with the exception being our two five stars are extremely highly rated. We have more 3* than 4* and a lot of guys out of the top 500. It’s really top heavy. 11 of our guys are top 250 and then there is a massive drop where everyone else is 500+

Knowing that bringing him in has no effect on Clark makes me less cautious about him coming here. We are in the middle of a complete roster shake up. Is this guy better than the worst guy at his position? If he is that means we are getting better.

We do need a total rebuild of the LB room. As important as it is to win those battles for the 5 stars and high end 4 stars you know are going to be studs there are plenty of under the radar 3 star kids who have been awesome for us and other schools. Staff is making the big bucks so hopefully their eye for talent is there. Need guys like Perryman, Hurns, Feliciano, ect not some of the reaches we've seen over the last 4 corches. If he does come here time will tell.

We don’t, but cook lol.
We take this kid we do

We have difference makers all over. Even our three stars have accolades. Spencer was committed to Veneables and Okie was pist about losing him. We flipped Mikeska from Clemson. Lew was wanted by a bunch of SEC schools. I reject the premise of your post.

Nah I disagree. Having names like Perryman is because we had so many 3 stars a few panned out. Odds are not in our favor.

At worst pulliam helps change the attitude cause that dude doesn’t look soft, and portal out in 2 years. At best he becomes a good ST player and helps with stopping the run.

The question comes down to whether or not you believe they will be developed or put into a scheme that allows them to be successful. My reason for worry is Mario is not a good game day coach and hasn’t brought in a scheme that will highlight strengths or mask flaws

Scheme is a concern right now but we have seen him develop players at Oregon. Even then, you stepped outside the parameters of the convo and that is our class is loaded. We have a ton of blue chip players, some of the highest we have had committed here in a long time, but even our lower ranked guys were pursued by good programs.

I don’t think we have a ton. We have 5 top 100 players. Good news is that we will add more. But if you look at the elite recruiting schools, they are usually 2-3x 4* to 3* commits. Seeing as recruiting is our only way out, we need classes like that in my opinion. Maybe we will get there regardless of this take

You don't think Mario is trying to recruit players that for his scheme?
