What I don't get is how these people **** on Butch like he didn't give canes fans some of the best years ever in our history. Say it's cause of him leaving to Cleveland. Ok well then why isn't howard treated like that? Why isn't jj treated like that. Honestly the only one that I'm aware of(I obviously wasn't here at the time)who really did basically **** on us and leave for what he thought was better pastures,nothing to do with admin push back etc was howard. And he was treated like royalty forever. Makes perfect sense. **** all over butch regardless of the situation he left with and love mandy who's doing his damnedest to be a politician while he himself personally shuts all over fans and this program while he's at it. Cool story.

I'll never understand it D....nor will I EVER stop defending him....much to the chagrin of 90% of CIS posters...due to the fact they know nothing of the situations Butch had to deal with at UM.....All I hear is the same "He wasn't a Great Gameday Coach" crap...Completely forgetting the fact he was the Greatest Evaluator and recruiter in UM History...and sent more Quality players to the NFL than Howard...JJ and Erickson combined....

Spoelstra is the same, but he had a Godfather that taught him the way, gave him time and space and then he succeeded on his own. butch was a great coach who made a mistake in leaving. he assembled the best college football team and one of the best staffs we have ever seen. people don't like him as much as JJ and Howard because Butch never won a title here. but that argument is chicken **** because we won two title with what he built (one title stolen).

it has been downhill since then and we have never assembled the talent or the coaching and the mediocrity/amateurism continues. the slip and slide incident is but one of many examples that indicate Manny isn't going to take us to the promise land. yes, he's new at it and can evolve, but certain underlying traits are not there. i hope he evolves for the sake of the program, but i'm not convinced he can.

I get a win is a win, but after reading his postgame comments man...I don’t like it. At some point you have to put your foot down and not be buddy buddy. I really didn’t like manny celebrating the Wiggins PI late in the fourth like he did. I understand every coach is different and you should never put up a front, but I think about how would jimmy johnson handle a game like tonight? It all just seems soft and pushing a false sense of confidence.

All offseason all I saw was Manny just needs to win. I said no, that won’t be enough for his legion of haters. The goal posts will immediately be moved to “we didn’t win by enough or score enough or gave up too many yards or some shít”. Ws or Ls don’t matter to that crowd, they just want to be right. Now it’s his demeanor after wins. Seriously.

5-1, only L to Clemson. #12 in the country less than a year after losses to multiple G5 schools and look at this board. It’s a shít show of the highest order.

Looks like that just win shít was nonsense, as I predicted. Just say y’all hate the man and won’t be happy until a coach that you have hand picked is running the team.
