He is all about blaming the players and seems unwilling to accept any culpability. The way the team practices is on him. The team taking an opponent lightly is on him. A true leader sets the tone and team follows. He acts as if the team sets the sails and he is just guiding the ship hoping it doesn’t crash.

Great thread. would read again

When the players fail he acknowledges it is the coaching staffs failure. He acknowledges the coaches could have done better during the course of a game. What you rarely see from any coach is a detailed analysis of exactly where they messed up. What play they shouldn't have called, or that the game plan sucked etc.. They will point out specific player mistakes, but rarely point out theirs. That's pretty much coaches across the board.

If he says "it starts with me" you will say he sounds like Golden

If he says "its the players" you say he sounds like Richt.

What do you want him to say?

Isn't what he did yesterday essentially him setting the tone that poor practice habits are not going to be accepted?

You guys only hear what you want to hear. How many times does he have to say everyone shares the blame. Unlike Golden, nothing he is saying about the players is untrue. They lack focus and discipline which for most in S. FL has never been a priority to learn growing up thru youth and H.S.. That is what needs to change to benefit these S. Fla kids.

Not saying this is the case, but I've seen more young kids getting kicked out of the military for "failure to adapt" type of ****. Everything's changed from warheads on foreheads to nurturing warm and fuzzy feelings for new troops. This new "generation" of adults is soft AF, and they're not motivated by pride or strong work ethic. This isn't the case with all of them, but it's becoming more prevalent. A lot of kids these days don't want to work for ****.

I don't think he's blaming them, he's challenging them (IMO) to step up

Kinda agree with this...I thought Enos went too far on J.Will after the UF Game, but I see nothing wrong with this.

It's early, let Diaz do things his way. None of us have the one and only exact perfect way to get the most of your team patented in any form...See what happens.
