Manny Changing Up OV

What's your definition of newest? 20 years?
There hasn’t been a “trap channel” on YouTube for more than year or two. It’s just now defined and mainstream. The genre started in bits and pieces long ago, Coke raps etc. I guess if you’re 20 you wouldn’t realize that.

Lol people comparing Pitbull to Kodak. There’s no comparison. It’s different music. Kodak is one of the leaders of the newest rap genre Trap. It’s like when rock turned to grunge alternative and rap turned into hip hop. Pitbull was the first rapper to go mainstream in pop music. If it wasn’t for Pitbull soft **** “trap”musicians like Post Malone would never exist. Pitbull is a legend in his own right. Even if nobody really likes him.
Trap music is as new as twerking lol what the ****? Pitbull didn't start a **** thing

**** I didn't realize there was a trap channel now! LOL
I guess what I'm saying is I grew up in ga. Goodie Mob was screaming it beforehand and to me TI made it mainstream 15 years back. Didn't realize recently it's only being considered mainstream. Interesting.

Pitbull was not remotely the first rapper to go mainstream in pop music. That’s an absurdly wrong statement. And I strongly suggest you don’t try to dispute me back on that cause I’ll drop more than just mics on you.

Ok tough guy. Pitbull became popular on pop music. Not pac, snoop, nobody.
My point about all this is Kodak has a better chance of ending up in jail or as a transient on a corner of Sistrunk than superpassing the worldwide fame of Pitbull.

Y’all noticed how these recruits aren’t blasting out photos all through the OV like they did during Richt. We haven’t even really seen photos of them in uniforms outside of you social media sleuths grabbing screenshots of their accounts. Has manny locked down on the use of all the OV photos and stuff?

That literally makes no sense at all

How does it not make sense? Remember all the posting of each recruit during OV in our uniforms? Remember all the make the crib great photo shoots? We haven’t seen any of that stuff since Manny took over.

That's the point I should have slammed home. Thanks for reminding me.

Far too many of these kids are too short-sighted to understand and appreciate how UM is a better fit to position them for long term success than Johnny come lately programs (like Georgia). These kids want IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION as opposed to looking at the long term.

If getting to the NFL, and flourishing in the NFL is a recruit's goal, there aren't many programs out there that can offer a better shot than we can, and this is in spite of our shortcomings on the field of play for the past 15 years.

If earning a valuable degree and having promising prospects of a stable, financially-rewarding career, there aren't many schools in the country that can offer what UM can.

This **** is A-B-C, 1-2-3 . Then again, a lot of people struggled to make the grade in Kindergarten, so I am not surprised they opt to go elsewhere.

**** 'em. THE U IS ON THE RISE.

I mean I love the U but are you kidding me? We haven't been NFLU since the Coker days. We almost lost our probowl streak and we have had 2 first round picks in the last 5 years. Meanwhile UGA/Clemson/Bama are averaging more than that per year

As Dee posted in another thread, Diaz is switching up where they are taking recruits to eat and such. Diaz is all over social media with nice cars, the beach etc... now the staff ran into Pitbull haha and all of them are posting their pics with him. Manny is embracing and selling Miami like all coaches should have been doing. The New Miami is real!View attachment 78687
Iol, wouldn't any new HC do this? Doesn't take an insider to know that...

Is this new? Wasn't Drake on campus? Wasn't Richt in shorts when the National Championship was in Miami talking about paradise on ESPN? Hasn't Golden and Richt had former players and Jimmy J talk to the team? Wasn't J Lo at our game?

I applaud Diaz for continuing the tradition of embracing Miami, but I'm not going to act like it has yet to be thought of before.

Also file in the it doesn’t make a difference file every time we turn over coaching staffs we get the paradise tweets. The beautiful beach photos and the skyline at night. Our coaches should have to sign something when they get hired that they won’t post pictures of the beach and talk about the weather. Actually I’m sort of joking but I really do not think it makes a bit of difference with these kids.
