Meanwhile, Manny's defense is getting worse (almost 600 yards let up Sat) and he continues to favor upperclassmen and walk on's, forcing real talented players like TAC to think about leaving.

I could see Alonzo coming in some kind of assistant AD role with a football operations / GM title on top of it. Rather than just making up a position. Have him leading the direction of the football program and letting the AD run the athletic dept. That’s just an educated guess.
