Because Mario could beat Ohio st Win PAC 12 and still get left out of playoffWhy would Mario come here? Oregon is making a huge investment in an IPF and appears to have a serious interest in maintaining its dominance of the PAC-12.
Unless there’s been a sea-change on this Board towards the Football Program and Cristobal and his people have been made to understand that, I just don’t see him coming here.
He needs fewer losses like the one to the Pirate. Otherwise, same story. What if Stoops wants it?

It ALWAYS helps to wait until there’s an official announcement from the Hecht OR ESPN. This sounds like one guy’s podcast.God help you if this is a troll...
Maybe not this year. Political reasons alone and an historically weak ACC may back Oregon into the CFP should they win out.Because Mario could beat Ohio st Win PAC 12 and still get left out of playoff
pfft half the board thinks if he loses two more games he's not worth having here the other half thinks if he wins out he's too expensive you can't make this **** up!There’s people that thinks he will and there’s people that don‘t. Thats why i say it‘s 50-50.
Lets not act like Oregon is some great job, first off you’re in Oregon lol. They also never get top coaches , it’s either promotions from within like Mario / chip or meh hires like Taggert. Even with all that big “ Nike money”. Why do you suppose that is?
Theres plenty of pros to him coming home , from personal and professional. There’s also pros for him to stay put. You’d be crazy to think he wouldn’t be at least be tempted to come back home when his alma mater is supposedly going all out for football for the first time ever. Coaching your home team while getting massive support. Anyone with a brain knows Miami is a ticking time bomb that’s just one guy that gets it away.
The two places you mentioned are very different from Oregon. Oregon has no place nearby that has a recruiting strong hold except for California. If the USC jobs taken by a big candidate Oregon got 10 times harderSince when did location mean anything in CFB though? You telling me Alabama and Mississippi are great places to live?
Size of that check and resources willing to be committed by the university is all that matters in dis bizness.
And they are probably repeating something they read on cisBreaking news....Blake won't be coming back. (just heard on Footballville you tube stream)
It’s home for both Mario and Mrs Mario. Roster is talented. Recruiting would be next level. And now, to my untrained eye at least, there’s a QB that looks like a potential future 1st rounder. There’s a lot of reasons to come here. Why would Mario come here? Oregon is making a huge investment in an IPF and appears to have a serious interest in maintaining its dominance of the PAC-12.

should happen regardless but it has been known this would be a pre-requisite to get Mario and/or any other HC worth anythingMario might want in? This would be huge. Or they just figured the guy was useless. Plz be true
California is big enough to spread the wealth. Oregon is averaging top 7 classes under Mario and continues to spend unbelievable amounts on their program. If Mario is scared of what USC 900 miles away might do if they manage to hire a competent coach then I don't want him anywhere near here. The two places you mentioned are very different from Oregon. Solid post. Informative. On the hot seat believe that! Only way Manny returns is running the table and I’m thinking Blake doesn’t even return regardless of what Manny does.
All of Phil Knight’s money cannot answer to a serious bid by USC to dominate the PAC-12. If they went ahead and did something crazy like hire Urban or some other Marquee coach as well as budget for Assistants, it would be over for Oregon as far as Recruiting goes. The two places you mentioned are very different from Oregon.
