Theres plenty of pros to him coming home , from personal and professional. There’s also pros for him to stay put. You’d be crazy to think he wouldn’t be at least be tempted to come back home when his alma mater is supposedly going all out for football for the first time ever. Coaching your home team while getting massive support. Anyone with a brain knows Miami is a ticking time bomb that’s just one guy that gets it away.

Since when did location mean anything in CFB though? You telling me Alabama and Mississippi are great places to live?

Size of that check and resources willing to be committed by the university is all that matters in dis bizness.

The two places you mentioned are very different from Oregon. Oregon has no place nearby that has a recruiting strong hold except for California. If the USC jobs taken by a big candidate Oregon got 10 times harder

It’s home for both Mario and Mrs Mario. Roster is talented. Recruiting would be next level. And now, to my untrained eye at least, there’s a QB that looks like a potential future 1st rounder. There’s a lot of reasons to come here.

You’re 10000% right tho. The lack of interest and commitment by the admin would negate all those reasons. Don’t really see it either.
 
Winning feels good. Regardless i want both gone. Also make no mistakes, we have not played a dominant game all year. That high school team that had Vitale crying doesn't count. These games could go either way just like the game we lost. 4-4 should not be our record at all. Its a travesty with the talent we have all over the team.

California is big enough to spread the wealth. Oregon is averaging top 7 classes under Mario and continues to spend unbelievable amounts on their program. If Mario is scared of what USC 900 miles away might do if they manage to hire a competent coach then I don't want him anywhere near here.

All of Phil Knight’s money cannot answer to a serious bid by USC to dominate the PAC-12. If they went ahead and did something crazy like hire Urban or some other Marquee coach as well as budget for Assistants, it would be over for Oregon as far as Recruiting goes.

Five Stars ain’t playing in Eugene when they can play in L.A..

Eventually, that’s going to happen. That’s an argument for Cristobal coming here. He won’t come into a toxic environment though.
