Blake has to be gone regardless, that stunt he pulled prior to the NC State against Manny was stupid. Now if Manny somehow wins out and he’s rewarded another year he definitely doesn’t trust Blake. Then on the other hand Blake & Manny are supposedly tied together so if you fire one you have to fire the other. It’s also been said other coaches didn’t like that stunt Blake pulled as well so nobody wants to come here with an AD like that.
 
I could see Alonzo coming in some kind of assistant AD role with a football operations / GM title on top of it. Rather than just making up a position. Have him leading the direction of the football program and letting the AD run the athletic dept. That’s just an educated guess.

Irregardless, here's another grammatical pet peeve the board just can't get right...

Our young RBs have shown a lot of potential, but everyone knows a RB's best friend is a dependable offensive line.

Now that we have a more than functional IPF I don’t hear about them again. Yes, they are essential but we are never going to have the biggest and best and if that is what a recruit wants they aren’t coming to Miami no matter who the coach is. Let’s drop that now.
Miami is his home at the end of the day. Is that enough with all the success and comfort he has now? You might be surprised. A lot of competitive people like a challenge then add in its home. You never know.
