I mean Terry McCray & DeAndre Wilder had wheels, they just weren’t good enough to play lol
But in terms of starters, Jermaine Grace is probably the fastest LB we’ve had in recent memory.
But Bernard isn’t necessarily a burner at LB, he ran a 4.59 at the combine.
The comp was about Malik Bryant as primarily a Rush-End LB who will be converted to a Weak side backer.
If Malik was staying as an EDGE & playing in a 3-4, I would actually comp him more to Nik Bonitto
4.38 shuttle at that size is no joke. Much more important than a 40He has a verified 4.72 forty, 4.38 shuttle and 32 inch vert. He's also very coordinated. Better athlete than Shaq.
4.7 without any dedicated training is solid for an incoming freshman. Shuttle time is elite. He has a verified 4.72 forty, 4.38 shuttle and 32 inch vert. He's also very coordinated. Better athlete than Shaq.
Verified 4.7 for a kid who plays LB and is going into his senior years is great speed. That easily equals sub 4.6 in 3 years or so.4.7 without any dedicated training is solid for an incoming freshman. Shuttle time is elite.
4.40 is average for all conference linebackers according to @Lance Roffers Leg Race4.38 shuttle at that size is no joke. Much more important than a 40
Especially considering he looks legit 235! At that size he flying with bad intentions. He will be the alpha dog of a great young core that actually isn’t the size of a safetyAt LB anything under 4.6 is moving. Forgot about Grace he was a legit 4.5 guy. The others didn't play so eh.
