Worse defense than any under Shannon
Blowing the Coastal division with mind-numbing losses which include VaTech at home and DUKE!
Poor tackling and poor execution on both sides of the ball
Undisciplined and still making terrible penalties
What exactly has improved under Golden?
There is improvement, I don't think the regimes resemble each other at all (maybe similar outcomes).
Recruiting has improved. S&C has improved. I also think he is a good leader but...I actually think the only thing holding us back from having more success (i.e. WINS) is a DC. I don't think the same thing could be said for RS since he couldn't be an HC, he couldn't recruit and he was a terrible leader.
What does it matter if the regimes don't resemble each other (whatever that means) if they're getting similar results as the one that was just fired?
SC is improved but we got punked by Duke and our run D is worse than ever? I'm not buying it.
Recruiting has improved greatly this cycle. I can't deny that, but we have to finish. Seems like Jackson and Thomas are looking. Still need to get either Cook or Sony also.
Also Re, recruiting, look at our two deep. How many of Shannon's leftovers are logging major minutes for us? A whole lot. Golden hasn't recruited well enough to push those Shannon scrubs out.
