Larry Coker went 8-4 last year and 3-3 in the WAC last year...they are sent to join CUSA soon..he actually doing a real good job

I actually think he is a good coach on game day...he just relied on recruiting rankings too much and had A LOT of 4 adn 5 star duds on his watch

This move has "worse than Don Strock" written all over it.

Turner was an AWFUL recruiter at Illinois. He is an awful OC.

Maybe he gets lucky with some of the young talent Mario recruited and puts together a decent season at some point...but he sucks.
 
You have to wonder about the real story behind Mario's termination.
 
Wow...horrible hire.

And many of you, and you know who you are, wanted Pete Garcia as UM's AD because you actually thought he evaluated recruits for Butch's classes when he was here.

I wonder if Freckles fugged the Frito Bandito over and backe out on him after telling him he'd take the job. Had to.

I've heard nothing but bad things about Pete Garcia, I don't know why on earth anyone would want him at UM
 
I imagine Pete Garcia is on his last strike, once the football continues to implode he will be fired.

From what I heard, Pete told Mario to fire coaches, Mario said no and stood by them wanting continuity, they got into it, Pete overreacted. Everyone in Miami laughs and now maybe Mario can go to the NFL and get some real experience like he should have 6 years ago.

Coker may actually be a guy who took what he learned here at UM and is building on it. Can't argue with the job he's done there.

UTSA played 2 1-FCS, 2 Div-2 teams, and 2 that are reclassifying. I'm not saying he isn't doing a good job. But, that is not a schedule that a regular 1-FBS teams gets to play. That 8-4 is tissue paper.
 
I'll tell you one thing for certain. The Frito Bandito is salsa dancing on a thin wet burrito wrapper right now. After the Zeke disaster and this latest mess with Cristobal, they're ready to do the cueca rocha on his head. Not to sound insensitive, but as soon as Ron Spurmer flames out, those Mexicans at that university across the ocean will cut FB's face off and sew it on a soccer ball.
