Coach O fell off after that 2019 team, but imo should not have been shown the door. Bryan Kelly is such a bad hire for that team. ND lucked out tbh

He did well at Notre Dame because ND as an institution is structured as a top down chain of command where the HC is superimposed as the autonomous authority figure, basically he’s the Head Priest of the program.

At the very least he has legit mental issues. Watch his presser, he just blamed his team the entire time and threw a temper tantrum 😭😭😭
 
and Corey Raymond is one of the most overrated coaches in college today, when is the last time he’s had a good secondary? The year they won the title in 2019 the secondary was bad, when he went to uf the secondary was terrible and now lsu dbs look bad again

That was an entertaining game to watch last night.
Have to give credit to both those programs scheduling such a good non -conference opponent week 1.

Not sure we can make much out of the result but each team looks a little better on D. And USC's QB looks like another Heisman candidate generated by Lincoln Ril;ey.
 
Great stand alone Sunday game.

-Play this game 10 times and LSU wins 7
-Lincoln has him another potential star at QB
-Nussmeier is very good
-USC will lose 3 or 4 games
-LSU will spoil somebody’s season if they can stay healthy. My guess is they pick off Ole Miss in Death Valley
 
I still have LSU as a 8-4 team. Every single season Kelly coaches his teams improve as the season goes on. A trait of a good coach. I have never liked him, personally. I don't like his secondary and he didn't get any of the DT's transfers they were so desperate for. You can run for 300 ypg on a Manny Diaz D without a good DL. That is all telling in what I think about USC. I will guess USC with their schedule goes 9-3.
 
I don't know why anyone would want to play for this LOSER. The way he left his ND team without any notice and to not say good bye to those young men is STUNNING. He is a coach of ZERO CHARACTER and it looks like the inmates are running that LSU team. He is a PATHETIC excuse for a head coach and represents what's wrong with the sport! OPEN YOUR EYES DJP
