There’s definitely a path, but we can’t fall into the losers bracket or you’ll burn the bullpen and be truly reliant on the starters.

Re: Ligon, maybe the most important reason we need to host a Regional to advance with this team, even more than home field advantage, is playing a #4 seed in Game 1. That very likely allows us to save Palmquist for Game 2.

Messick has a 2.56 ERA and hitters are batting .189 off him this year. He also has 128 Ks vs 12 walks. 3 shutouts. He's filthy. Tattooing him out of Howser on night 1 would be a **** of a statement.

Your point about their bats is correct. They are only hitting .262 as a team. Miami, before tonight, was at .296.
