Yeah he was all over the place.

That's what happens when the pitcher is all over the place. You don't get credit for close pitches when your missing the zone badly.
Conversely, a consistent pitcher wearing out the edges of the plate will get the close calls. That's the deal. That's how it works. Been that way for 100 years.
