I know most people don't care, but I for one, don't want to lose to freaking Duke on Saturday. I'm also excited at seeing my team play one more game this year until I switch to full on basketball and soccer mode. Hopefully the long walk to the stadium, and the bowl ban, doesn't demoralize the team and they can get some momentum heading into what could be a very good 2013.

ps

Did I mention it's freakin Duke?

I am waiting for the weekly write up. I want to beat Duke bad. I hope this team can focus on this last game of the season and till August.

Thank god Jacory ain't the QB.

UVa moved the chains on us all day... Duke's offense is much better than UVa's i think. That, coupled with removing the team's carrot to chase (ACC title game/BCS), and I wouldn't be surprised with a loss.

Duke is better than UVA. Not saying we'll lose, but, it certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility simply because "it's Duke".

Duke has a better offense than UVA, but we didn't have Perryman, Bush or Johnson against UVA. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Duke scores 7 points more per game than UVA 30 to 23. UVA does outgain Duke by 30 yards a game 410 to 380

And you obviously have to take into account that UVA has gotten to play our defense while Duke hasnt so that obviously gives UVA's numbers an advantage

Although at least against Duke we should have Perryman, EJ, and Bush in the lineup

After reading the players comments I think Duke may be on the receiving end of some pent up anger.

I hope we can come out and play like we did last week! Against VA we were down like 6-7 defensive players. (EJ, DP, Bush, Gabe, Cain, and a few of the line men). We should be back to full strength. Remember lots of these kids knew what was happening when they signed, so as one of the posters mentioned would be nice to see us open a can of whip *** with mo going into next year.

With the lack of depth, players were playing more plays then they were used to. Should be interesting, but again, I'm hoping we open a can!

Regardless of a bowl ban, we still win the Coastal if we beat Duke. We need to finish this season on a strong note.

McGee, James, Botts, etc. need to go out with a win so AG better have this team and staff ready.

Duke attacks and scores differently than UVA. I'm less worried about their offense than I am about our mentality and it being an away game. It has that Notre Dame bowl game feel (don't care, may be cold, etc.) to it.

Duke's strength is their passing game.

Defending the pass is UM's weakness.

There will be much scoring...though I predict a close Cane win.

I don't doubt that there'll be some scoring, but it's not as simple as that. I'm far more concerned, for example, if UVA would have the ball with 4 minutes remaining than if Duke has the ball with 4 minutes remaining. They beat you in a different way. Their offense is more finesse and lacks the type of balance that kills our LBs and Safeties. I think we'll be better prepared to cover the middle of the field than we are against some other teams. Will they hit some passes and move the ball? Probably, because we just lack enough talent up front to cover up the gaping holes in our zones.

Agreed with the bold. This game reeks of Boston College if you ask me.

What incentive do our players have for winning this game? None. Duke should be the favorites.

It's their last chance to put something on film. That's a key point for a team that will head into spring with a ton of young guys in position battles.
