Or was it the fact that on the field practice and game success is what inspires players? Dude their is 1000 powerlifters in Dade alone.

Yep. He rode his bicycle to practice. (I don't know why that was repeated in every inspirational story about the young men, but maybe most had cars. Or like Vinny. A motor scooter). I was told by a athletic department official around that time that they tried to chase him off but he persisted. One of the great stories in UM history, and played a significant roll in our first NC game.
