Looks like Arthur Sitkowski is making some waves

Wasn't this kid not even a starter on his high school offense? Training camp terminator.

Jarren Williams is going to be really good. I have a feeling.
I believe so as well. What worries is that it seems Richt is less willing to start a younger, more talented player. Man, I hope I'm wrong, but it's going to burn me up every time I see a freshman QB tear it up, while we suffer through another year of "what the crap was THAT?" I'd much rather see a freshman make mistakes than a 5th year senior. Especially when that freshman is making throws the 5th year senior can't. That's just me, though.

I do trust Richt to do the right thing. I'm hoping he's just going to keep the competition going to keep up appearances, then hand the reigns over to the more talented QB, even if he is a freshman.

Kid has all the tools in the world, his problem is when the lights go on. I wish him well but camps and practice is where he shined.
Well, there's a certain prestige to having your recruits ball out in camps. Same way with winning the recruiting trophy. I think the one they used to call the Max Emfinger Memorial Recruiting Trophy. You can line the walls of your athletic department offices with the stuff. They should have an All-Camps Trophy.

I want the best combo of making plays and avoiding mistakes. If that's Rosier, then he's my guy.

I remember Kaaya's freshmen year, and I can assure you that after a few INTs I stopped caring that he was inexperienced. I understood why he made mistakes and that he was our best option, but it was no easier to watch than an older guy doing it.

It's easy to make waves in the kiddie pool. Talk to me when he can do it in the deep end. I probably still wont care tho...

Imagine this dude turns out to be a savage (highly doubt it)

Kid had everything but couldnt play cause his worst weakness is accuracy/anticipation and thats a recipe for disaster and something u cant fix.

That's a really uninformed statement.

Richt started Aaron Murray and Matt Stafford as true freshmen, and David Greene as a RS Freshman.

In all cases, there were older QBs he could have went with

Just listening to his coach speak about Rosier has me worried, I guess.

So Sitkowski's doing great competing against "Gio Rescigno, Johnathan Lewis, Tom Flacco, Jalen Chatman and Rob Nittolo" :sjfd4ytbgaemgtvaw2.jpg:...... meh!!

Sorry but the kid had much tougher competition winning the QB position at IMG.

Well good for him.

Guess he made a good choice because he'd be waaaaaaay behind Weldon & Williams here

Maybe the backup options just aren't as good right now.
It's only spring. I believe Williams has enough time to get the mental aspect down. If any true freshman can win the job, it's a talented one that arrived early, and is trying to beat out an inaccurate passer. We'll see.

So yeah, I try to take everything Richt says with a grain of salt. I know a LOT can change in the next few months.

summer is where the progress will be made in the qb comp. most people had rosier as the lead qb coming out of spring, but summer is where the moving will be done if at all. im wondering how the QBs will look today

I wasn’t saying either. My point was that if Sit turns out to be a player and Jarren a bust, that’s an indictment on the evaluation/development skills of the Richts. If Jarren is a stud and Sit sucks, then kudos to them for making the switch.

For the record, I think Sit is awful and will get eaten alive once the lights come on, especially if he starts as a true freshmen.

It’s really incredible how people feel the need to turn every thread into a referendum on the coaches.
