This really needs to be the last straw for Searels. Strategically it makes sense to keep a position coach on staff until we close on the current recruiting class. But what good is a position coach if he has a recruiting class of zero?

After reading up on Maurice Smith, that is more apparent now than ever. This was a kid who wanted to be a Cane, appears to be a potential hidden gem in South Florida, came to every camp, worked his *** off, made multiple UVs to campus and games to show his interest. And Searels decides to toss him a commitable offer NOW after we're about to lose our only to OL recruits in the cycle? Not just sloppy, but completely opposite of how Miami has to build up depth/talent.
